Review Time
I’ve been using the Tractive tracker for my cats for several years, so I no longer worry when I let them outside, because I can check exactly where they are at any time. The live tracking feature is fantastic, since I can see in real time where they’re going. You can also set up a virtual fence, and if they leave that area my phone alerts me immediately. Since we started using the Tractive tracker, I’ve felt much more at ease.
We were looking for a tracker for our cat. We tried several Bluetooth tags. These were not useful for locating our cat once she left our house. The range was not adequate and the took forever to refresh and ultimately provided no useful location data. The Tractive collar, however, provided pinpoint location information with little to no delay. With Tractive, I can find my cat almost immediately, whether she is in my backyard or down the street in a neighbor's yard. It works.

I have only had 3 problems. the 1st problem was a technical problem where there was an update on the system and my app didn't update. simple to fix just deleted it and redownloaded it. the 2nd problem was the tracker came off my dogs neck and was lost somewhere the battery died and I couldn't find it. simple fix tractive sent me another one free of cost just paid for the shipping. I was super impressed. the 3rd problem was my app stopped updating for current information. again simple problem fixed just delete the app and re-download it then restarted my phone and all was good again. any time I have had to contact their customer service who ever answers has been friendly knowledgeable and made the fix so simple a baby could do it so I was never left wondering what or how to do something. it was always simple and quick. ive been a super happy customer. im very pleased with tractive. and using their tracker is super easy just charge it within a few hours put it on my dog and forget it. any time hes gotten out I never worry even when hes in the safe zone or powersavi g zone hes so very simply found. I look at his history and see where hes gone. the only complaint I have is that when I take him out in tge car sometimes the tracker shows his movement being as the bird flies instead of going down the road and showing exactly the road hes been on, but I do understand that when it does that its just because from point a to point b as the bird flies is due to the update of his position from one minute to the next. so in all honestly I have no complaints. tractive works great meets my every need and is so very simple to use. I love tractive and couldn't have picked a better company to keep track of my dog. I will never change companies and would recommend them to everyone in the world if I could. tractive is tge only 1 in my book and will always be number 1 !!!!! go tractive !!!!♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
I was gifted a Tractive after my dog came home from a freak accident that had my dog missing for 28 days in a forest. The Tractive has given me peace of mind that I'll find my pup. There was one time where my dog's tracker came off during some play in the grass and I was able to use the app to locate it. The sound feature on my device stopped working within a year and it has become a bit finicky recently but the tracking still works.
I’ve been using the Tractive GPS for my dog and it’s been amazing. The real-time tracking is accurate and gives me peace of mind, especially at the park or on walks. The app is easy to use, and the safe zone alerts are very helpful. Battery life is solid too. Highly recommend for any dog owner!
Never had to use it. However my pet passed and now I keep getting emails to re-register. You cannot contact a person and there isn’t an option to tell them your pet is deceased. TOTAL LACK OF EMPATHY!!!!!
I’ve been using the tracker for a few months now, it’s been a godsend! Lightweight enough that It doesn’t cause any issues for my small dachshund, fits firmly onto her collar.
Love the fact that you can activate the light on it via the app 🥰
The charge lasts for around 10 days, charges super quickly too.
Although a great buy 100% recommend.

- is nor really acurate. Has an almoust 50-70 m radius of accuracy
Very low for a GPS tracker device
-the battery in safe zone ( lowest consumption) dosen t hold more than 6-7 days. Not 2 weeks how they say.

- nice the updates in the app for the heart rate , barking etc
- the sleeping tracking is very usefull
We have a dog with Houdini’s DNA, no matter what barriers we build, he finds a way out. We bought this tracker so we’d know immediately when he escaped and could track him quickly.
Unfortunately, the “zone” alert is so large that it’s not very helpful. It extends well into the neighbors’ yards in every direction, so by the time we’re notified, he’s already long gone.
When he does escape, the app takes about a minute to connect to the tracker. Once it connects, it works well, but that delay matters. One of the selling points was the sound feature, but it’s so quiet that we can’t hear it, and it doesn’t seem to deter our dog at all. The light is helpful at night, but again, it takes 30–60 seconds to activate.
We also receive frequent false escape alerts. In fact, it just sent one while he was lying asleep next to me.
I am thankful for when it does help me find him, but the shortcomings make it difficult for me to recommend to others.
Tractive is great when the service functions. I love everything the app has to offer! I had Whistle, and when bought out by Tractive, I gave it a shot. I am so disappointed. It is nothing like Whistle. Customer service is terrible, let alone doesn’t exist… There is no phone number to contact. You’re left submitting a request for an email response. Well that email takes forever to come and once it does, no one responds back to you. You’re left in the dark with a device that does not work. The subscription is too expensive for no customer service support. I ended up switching to Fi. They have great tracking and a customer service phone number you can actually call! Don’t recommend Tractive unless you want to lose GPS signal and not be able to track your dog/cat. Customer service basically doesn’t exist so you’re on your own. Please consider buying from a different GPS tracking company to make sure your pets are safe. Tractive is too expensive for the lack of support they don’t offer. Tractive is not it. Do better Tractive.
