Review Time
Having used Tresorit for some time I can wholeheartedly say I DO NOT recommend it. It's functionality is spotty, at the best of times, and the overall functioning of the sharing portion is extremely frustrating and un-user friendly. The security portion of the product DOES NOT justify the cost and headaches. I'll just sacrifice privacy for functionality and use another more reliable service, an unfortunate hallmark of our times.
Excellent product. Some of the lower rated reviews indicates to me that the purchaser did not understand what they were buying. I have a multi device professional plan crossing multiple platforms (including server 2019). Performance is slower than OneDrive or similar, but then my data is going to Switzerland so should I really be surprised?The app has been bulletproof, the website has been excellent, and support, when I've needed it, has been exemplary.This product is expensive. It isn't an alternative to the mainstream products like OneDrive. But if you need a zero knowledge cloud storage solution, you absolutely get what you pay for.
First of all, Tresorit is definitely not cheap. For a relatively high price, however, it provides considerable capacity and, above all, security. End to end encryption, based in Switzerland, looks solid and secure. The appearance of the application and website also makes a very positive impression.Service worth recommendation.
I've been using Tresorit for 6-7 months now, and I really like how they combine security with usability. Tresorit is the only place where our team keeps all the files and we really like the share link to securely share files with end-to-end encryption.
after 1.5 year of using Tresorit I can provide few important observations:1) tresorit is not save. If you have your syncing app on 2 computers or computer and your mobile phone, you are NOT ABLE TO protect the app with the additional pasword. As such anyone who get an access to your mobile phone or your laptop will be able to see all folders through the tresorit app. All folders that you are syncing between these computers ! You could avoid it by a) having a password on the app (but tresorit does not want to bring this functionality) or b) buying subscriptions for each of these devices separately...and this is probably what TRESORIT want you to make !!! But this would make the whole idea pointless from the buyers financial point of view2) if you have been working whole day on some data later to be synchronized by tresorit - without internet access - and at the end of the day you decided to change the name of the folder with that data - and then you come home at night - turn on internet and start synchronizing all the data you been working whole day - I can tell you one thing - all the data will be gone / lost !!! This cheap software does not provide the history of changes if your computer was not connected all the time to the internet while you have been working on your documents3) tresorit claims that its the safest app on the earth.... but you will not be able to evaluate their claim because they do not provide the white papers. So they can steal your data and you will never know. When I asked them about white paper, they said that for the security reasons they cannot bring it on. What a misleading reason !!! there are much more famous softwares on earth collecting the data and still provide the white paper without any risk. 4) the syncing itself is a nightmare with long delays. If you saved a document on one computer and want to sync it fast an open it quickly on your main computer for example for printing it - forget !!! you have to first open your tresorit app on both computers to wake them up from the sleeping mode. then you see in the left down corner that its syncing it at last !!! 5) if you run it on any windows 2016 server you will see at the bottom of your tresorit app a statement: your tresorit app is experiencing connection problems > resolve issue > I am clicking on it and then I receive a statement: automatic problem resolution FAILED ! So you write a ticket to the support only to learn that they do not know what is the reason. it must be probably the problem with your 2016 windows server. They do not bother to check it thoroughly. They do not even accept that this happens on any windows server - I tried it on 3 different servers. always same story !6) no option to encrypt additionally any folder within the system. So if you have important data and you believe in the tresorit claim - that is the safest app on earth - please consider again point 1) and point 3) ... its too risky to use it ! they know these issued already for 1.5 yr ! But they did not care !!!cheers
They ignore support emails for days, then it takes more days of chasing them on facebook and other emails to get them to respond. I don't understand how they are still in business with such poor support and ignoring their paying customers.
