A great way to meet people

I have been going to events for around 3 months now and personally think they are excellent. The locations and venues are first rate which I think contributes tremendously to the ambience of each event. Events are generally of 2 types the speed dating events and the singles parties which are mostly on Saturday nights. The hosts are friendly and do a good job making people feel welcome and at ease. The age ranges in my experience are generally for older people (mainly over 40) which is what I want. Events are always busy, and even on the odd occasion when there has been torrential rain people eventually turn up albeit a little late. I haven't really had a bad experience. The only criticism after talking to regulars that attend is that a lot of people do not log on the next day to decide on matches. Best therefore to exchange numbers at the event. Also I advise to check closing times on some of the mid week speed dating events. After talking to 14 people over 2 hours sometimes the venues close hard at 11pm which means you do not get the chance to talk to someone you like for any length after the speed dating finishes which on one occasion left me frustrated. Other than that FIRST CLASS !!

Attended last nights event at a venue…

Attended last nights event at a venue at Bank.For a 1st timer I was a bit unsure, but when I got there it was a pleased and relaxed event, a few ladies didn’t turn up but the host advised us and continued with the event and I still got around to meet everyone.Well worth the experience, I will definitely do it again.

They treat humans like cashpoints

They treat humans like cashpoints. they have no interest in love, friendships, relationships. The one event i attended on a cold, damp, roof top, they started 45 mins late and for that 45 mins, they made men and women sit apart. they did not allow us all to mingle. then they simply rushed us all through the speed dating 4 mins per person and after doing this with 8 participants, in some 40 mins total, the organisers, simply ran away. when i tried talking to one of them, they looked at me like i was some creep trying to hit on her. I was simply being friendly and also trying to understand what and how they hope to achieve here. it seemed they had no interest in fostering love, and relationships for their clients, and in fact they seemed to think most of their clients were absolute losers, which is not nice!

First time attending a Party Dating…

First time attending a Party Dating Event at The Folly Bar (Monument) with approximately 40 people (20 male / 20 female) and two male hosts. After name tags were handed out, a complimentary drink and a brief introduction from our hosts we pretty much instantly went around talking to one another. My initial thoughts: I couldn't work out why I paid £18 for this service however, as time went on, the roles of encouragement and enthusiasm by the hosts to each individual in the group and initial "first contact" made easier as we were all singles I found the evening both enjoyable and entertaining....Even though on this occasion I didn't meet anyone I had that "spark" with, I would like to say, "I did meet some new friends!" And plan to go again soon.Post Event - I found out when I got back home I could contact those I liked via messenger through my account.The only thing I found "negative" was the level of music in the background... As we were the only group or people at one end with a speaker directly above us the music could of been turned down making conversation a lot easier.

I found TrueDating to be ok

I found TrueDating to be ok. For their core offering, I was satisfied. I wouldn't say I was blown away by the servive, but it was effective and usabel. It met my needs in the main, although it may not have been as moderen and slick as some of the other providers. I think they're solid but a bit 'averag'. All in all it was a descent experience.

Absolutely Terrible- Waste of Time & Money

I wish I could give this company zero stars. I went to one of their events in London last year, where several people confided in me that they had been going to events for free- simply say you had no matches, and they'd toss in a free event. Sometimes the company would give them perks, like free drinks, if they would attend and boost the count. That event, half full of disinterested people there only for the free perks, was the better event, it would turn out.Last night I attended an event in Cambridge. This was by far the worst singles event I ever attended. Here are the highlights:1. Doors opened at 7:30, and we were to receive 1 free drink to get the ball rolling. The alcohol options were prosecco and merlot. They ran out of prosecco at 7:45, and Merlot a few minutes later. The hosts claimed they would 'sort it out,' but then simply disappeared into the back and never returned. Approximately 1/4 of event attendees stood around awkwardly without a drink.2. The event was held in a lounge-type bar. The reserved area was in a corner. This was supposed to be a 'mixer' event where people could mingle. However, no one thought to remove the close-set cafe tables from the area, so there was no way to move. You simply were herded in the stand in random piles between the little tables, and could not move, especially with the additional people coming in. 3. The hosts were supposed to help make introductions, get people talking, and basically facillitate the event. All they actually did was run out of wine 15 minutes in and then disappear.4. 13 women, 25 men. I felt especially bad for the 2 ladies who had driven a good distance, only to be crowded into a tight space with 3 farmers who loudly discussed how they came to these events every 3 months or so to find wives, but none of the ladies were ever very good. 4. For no apparent reason, the lights were suddenly switched off in the party area at 7:50 pm. So now we were in the dark, unable to move, booze free, and listening to drunken farmers complain. Two other men took off their name badges, with one heard saying to the other, "I don't want anyone to actually know I was here."5. Shortly after 8pm, I witnessed some of the folks on the outside of the cramped dark circle slowly filter back out through the main bar area and out the door. I left at 8:05pm. This was the biggest waste of £18 ever. Several friends had been eager to try these events and wanted to know how it was. I told them.Steer clear of this company- an absolute ripoff.Edit: I have my times of attendance saved on Google maps. I'm not the first person to make the same complaints, either, if you see their reviews on other sites. The company has chosen to respond in a pretty defensive manner, but I stand by my review.
