Review Time
This was my first time trying speed dating and I was impressed with how professionally everything was run. The host Alando was supportive and put everyone at ease right away. The group was a lovely mix of people in their 50s and 60s, all open-minded and up for a chat. It felt respectful, mature, and even a bit exciting! I appreciated that it wasn’t just about finding a partner, it was also a great way to socialize and make new connections. I’ve already recommended it to a few friends.
I really enjoyed the singles party on Saturday at Mint Leaf Lounge. It’s a nice way to spend an evening and I met a variety of eclectic people so would be happy to try again in the future. Please also keep putting on events for over 40’s.
Steer clear of this company. It is horrendous and the responses from the company speak volumes. More than any review could. 1) This dating service is nothing like advertised. 2) The gender ratio is totally skewed.3) No chance of a refund only a rude response.I’ve seen better options for free! Save your cash and find something better.
The service is not as advertised. Attended an abysmal event where absolutely nothing took place. They promote themselves as the "London’s most popular Speed Dating & Singles Parties". That is completely false and laughable. Thankfully I have warned dozens of friends and flagged this "service" on social. Do not throw away even a penny. It's a complete waste of your time.
Terrible girls come to event in group of 16, found out from one of them that they are part of a WhatsApp group.Avoid highly recommend events of ice breaker/lock and key events from other groups than this site.Nice hosts but completely demoralising event had to myself do the hosts job of keeping the guys spirits high while feeling like self deleting. Avoid completely recommend other sites that involve more interactions.
Went to Shoreditch speed dating event recently and really enjoyed my experience. First timer so felt quite nervous but lovely host made me feel welcome. Very well attended event and everyone seemed friendly so would recommend over other forms of dating
I attended one of the speed dating events with this company and it was a great experience from start to finish. On arrival a friendly host introduced himself and welcomed me to the event. He explained how everything worked asking me if I had any questions. He also made a lovely comment on my jacket, which put me at ease, as I was a little nervous. He then introduced me to some of the others waiting for the event to get going which was nice, as I did not know anyone there. When the event did start there was a good ratio of men to women and although it was a speed-dating event there was a nice relaxed atmosphere with a good vibe and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The host went to great effort to check on people throughout the evening and was happy to help in any way.I have tried a few other dating companies but this has defiantly been the best one so far and I’m looking forward to attending another event with True Dating soon.
I've been speed dating with several other companies but hadn't tried True Dating so I thought I would give them a go. I'll explain why I won't be going back again. When I turned up one of the other guys had not bought a ticket even though the event had sold out for men. Rather than turning him away the host said that he could pay with cash on the night. This made an already uneven male-female ratio even worse. They had sold 11 female tickets but only 6 had turned up. This is forgivable because I know it sometimes happens with other companies but what I find hard to forgive is the bad organisation. When the event started the host made no effort to introduce himself or provide any instructions. There were gaps in some of the table numbers which was a bit confusing. The host thought it would be a good idea to find some random women in the bar downstairs to join the event. This was a bad idea because they only stayed for a few dates and then decided to leave. They did not show on the website so it would have been impossible to match with them. I guess they were pressured into joining by the host, reluctantly agreed and changed their mind. The host was also behaving inappropriately. He said he thought I looked "cute" and I saw him touching a lot of people on their arm during the evening. The next day you can enter your matches on the website but if you don't do it by 4pm you won't be able to match with anyone. Other companies say this to encourage people to go on to the website but they still allow you to add your matches after the deadline.
