Peace of mind. Though it seems so simple I worry a little if it will work. Also, I do take my dogs collar off at night as she sleeps in my bedroom and I do not want the smell in her face all the time. (though it is a very pleasant smell to us humans).
It's too soon for me to fully evaluate its effectiveness, but my pet does occasionally have a scratch around it. I was let down that it didn't fit my dogs' snap collars, so I had to purchase the original style with holes. Other than that, everything seems fine so far. I believe the collar compatibility should be highlighted in their marketing. I've already suggested it to friends.
The customer service is exceptional—my questions were answered within a day. We traveled to the north coast last month and our dog had no ticks or fleas. The scent is only noticeable if you get very close, and even then, it’s quite subtle. I love that we're not using anything toxic on our pet.

Upon receiving the pendant for my dog, I was pleasantly surprised by how soft and comfortable it is on his collar. While I continue to use oral tick prevention, I feel much more secure with this additional protection. It's a fantastic product and service. I've recommended it to anyone I meet while walking my dog.
