Review Time
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Not only is the service wildly overpriced, but it also does not explain its formatting to you at all. I was under the impression that once I started paying for the service, I could watch replay of shows that had just aired, but you actually need to "add them to your library" before Youtube TV will RECORD the shows like it's TIVO back in the 2000s.
Entirely useless and overpriced.
YouTube tv has horrible customer service. When it went out I was 120 minutes that stretched to 300 minutes an hour later. The chat was equally as ridiculous. If you need them, too bad, you are on your own.
A couple of years back, we made the switch to a new streaming service, and immediately encountered double charges on our credit card. After spending hours attempting to resolve the $800 in overcharges, I managed to get back only $200 through the credit card company. Essentially, the service lacks proper customer support and ended up keeping the remaining $600.
I spent almost 2 hours trying to redeem the $20 credit during negotiations. Why not just deduct $20 from everyone’s bill who has access to Disney? I ended up contacting customer service since nothing online worked. It was frustrating to waste my time when they were so unhelpful.
I signed up to watch USWNT soccer but had to cancel because every recording buffered so much that it was unwatchable. I’d rather deal with the ads on regular YouTube, where the playback is smooth, proving it’s not my connection but an issue with the service.
I've been a long-time customer, but after the recent channel dispute, I was promised a $20 credit. I thought it would be automatic, but it wasn't. After searching endlessly for help, I found the customer service number. When I finally spoke to an agent, she informed me the deadline to claim the credit had passed. After expressing my frustration, she agreed to issue the credit. It feels like they are making it difficult to honor their promises, and I’m reconsidering my subscription.
I’m paying $83 a month and still have to endure more ads than a free app. When I tried to sign in, I was pushed to 'Try for Free' for the ESPN package, with no option to decline. Paying this much for poor treatment makes me feel foolish for subscribing. I don't understand why anyone would pay for this service.
