We had a great experience with Khum and this company. The transport to and from the trek was smooth. The trek holds breath-taking views with mostly straightforward days for a fit walker with a few challenging days. I highly recommend the trek for any nature lover and enthusiastic trekker. It is, however, the guide and porter that absolutely make the trek! They really do become like family on the trek. Raju has mastered the art of being a guide. He knows well when to give space and when to engage with encouragement or knowledge. We met many guides on the trek and, whilst they were all lovely, we felt especially fortunate to have Raju with his uplifting energy, enthusiastic knowledge and witty humour. Raju made the experience perfect. He acquired the best rooms he could to look after us as one of had a stomach infection. The rooms were better than expected all the way round as Raju managed to get us private rooms at every tea house and always offered extra blankets and pillows! He was patient and kind and remained positive towards achieving our goal despite the difficult illness. He also supplied the medicine which cured us and allowed us to complete the trek. It’s safe to say this would not have happened without Raju! We played cards every night and we shared different games with each other, this was a real highlight! Nima was also a lovely and caring porter who with his limited English communicated largely in kindness and respect. He was always there to help and support and several times returned from dropping the heavy bag to help! Despite the illness, the trip ran smoothly because of Raju and Nima and it has perpetuated our deep love for Nepal and a desperation to return and complete more treks. We can’t thank Raju and Nima enough for their excellency and for making our trip so special!
I did the Annapurna Base Camp trek with Unique Adventures, and it was the best experience I could have wished for! Before arriving in Nepal, I had great communication with the company owner, Khum, via WhatsApp. He made preparing for the trek super easy, answering all my questions quickly and clearly. His responsiveness gave me a lot of confidence before even starting the journey.During the trek, my guide Dev was absolutely amazing! His deep knowledge of the route and environment made me feel safe and supported the entire way—even in some pretty scary moments, like trekking through a snowstorm and avalanche danger zones. I would not have felt comfortable doing this trek alone, and I’m super grateful for his guidance, expertise, and great conversations along the way.As for the trek itself—it’s one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever done. The landscapes are constantly changing, from forests and mountain villages to snow-covered peaks. Reaching Annapurna Base Camp, surrounded by majestic mountains, was an unforgettable moment.I would definitely recommend this trek and Unique Adventures to anyone looking for a well-organized, safe, and truly breathtaking experience!
I did the Annapurna base camp trek solo as a first trek. I had an excellent experience- communication beforehand was very clear and all my questions answered. Arrangements went smoothly from airport pick up to hotel and transport. I felt safe and well supported as a single woman. I was ill on the first day and both owner and guide were very caring. My guide, Sumba was lovely- he looked after me every step of the way and took care of all the practicalities. Also the porter Kiran. I was very grateful to him for carrying my bag all the way up to base camp! I was able to realise my dream and reach the base camp and it would not have been possible without them.
I met Mr. Khum SUBEDI, Managing Director of Unique Adventure tourist agency in the taxi taking me at my arrival at Kathmandu airport. We met again the next day and he proposed me a special trekking program adapted to my level of physical fitness, adding Muktinah to the Poon Hill usual program. The price was reasonable and he took news from me during the whole trip. Mr. SUBEDI is a nice guy and a real professional. My guide, Raju KANDEL, was excellent. He was very helpful but not intrusive. He proposed an alternative plan to make the trip more interesting. The places we stayed were very well chosen. He even took good care of me when my legs were painful after going down too longIt was a pleasure to hike with him during the day and to share a beer in the evening. He was quite a friend.

My grandmother and I went on a 10-day trip to Nepal, covering important areas such as Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan. Our trip was extremely pleasant, right from the day we stepped foot into Nepal, where we were greeted with a warm Nepali-style welcome, followed by complementary dinner and a cultural show. Our driver Ruben even gave us his spare SIM-card free-of-charge to prevent us the hassle of applying a SIM-card using our foreign passports - such was the hospitality of Unique Adventure International. Even during the booking phase, communication with Mr Khum from Unique Adventure was very hassle-free as he was fast to respond, and immediately altered the existing package to customise as per our preferences. for example, I had wished to visit Bhkathapur, which was not initially on the package, and he immediately added it in and re-arranged some other destinations to make for a smoother journey and got back to me about the new package, all within half-a-day. The company also included all guide expenses, travel expenses, accomodation and breakfasts, as well as entrance fees in their package price - which made the trip itself very hassle-free, without me having to worry whether there was enough money to see certain attractions. Our first 2 days were spent on travelling around cultural sites in Nepal, such as Pashupathinath Temple and Durbar Square in Kathmandu, as well as Bhaktapur. These were extremely beautiful places, rich in culture and heritage. Our guide Mr Ram was very knowledgeable and friendly, and was not rushing us to move from one site to another. Instead, he allowed us the luxury of time to slowly explore the structures, and was always willing to answer extra questions we had. He also helped to bridge our language gap by helping to communicate with shopkeepers, priests etc., as well as teaching us how to engage in certain religious rituals which we had interest in. Following this, we were driven to Chitwan in the same vehicle, where we stayed in Hotel Park Land and engaged in jungle activities. Again, excellent service with buffet for all 3 meals, and knowledgeable guides bringing us into the forests for walks and safaris. We managed to spot a black bear and 2-3 rhinos during our Jeep Safari, which my grandmother and I were very excited about. Furthermore, the hotel was very accomodating with elderly people such as my grandmother, as they had a guide who brought them on a slower walk and made sure they were well and safe throughout the forest activities. It was because of responsible people like them that I was able to go ahead and enjoy myself without having to worry about the safety of my grandmother. Chitwan was followed by Pokhara, with a 3h stop at the beautiful town of Bandipur. Although the package had initially only included a 1h stop at Bandipur, I liked the beautiful hilly-town so much I wanted to spend a few more hours there. I made this known to Mr Khum and our driver, Ruben, and they were extremely accomodating and flexible, allowing us the few more hours at Bandipur. This is unlike other tour agenices, which often force their iterinary down your throats. Upon arriving in Pokhara, I realised there were many adventure activities which I wanted to do that were not included in the package. I tried booking these activities, such as paragliding, ultralight flight and horse trek, by myself, but was unfortunately unable to do so. I then escalated my concerns to Mr Khum, who immediately helped me book these activities at no extra cost other than the cost of the activities themselves. This really elevated my experience in Pokhara. Following all this, we headed back to Kathmandu for a couple days’ rest and shopping before flying back to our country. We had chosen to stay in a homestay in the village area for the last 2 nights. While the host was very pleasant and the bed was comfortable, the toilet unfortunately had a musky odour to it, which made showering and even being in the room very difficult. We mentioned this to Mr Khum, who then immediately apologised for any inconvenience caused and upgraded us to a hotel for free. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant experience travelling around Nepal with Unique Adventure. Mr Khum would constantly and tirelessly update my mom back home about our safety, and special credits to our driver Ruben, who took very good care of my grandmother and went above and beyond in many instances, such as preparing my surprise birthday party, telling me stories about different Nepali villages and so on. I will be sure to return to Nepal with Unique Adventure in the future.
Great trek. Sometimes challenging from a physical and mental perspective, but absolutely rewarding. Panoramas by day and by night are literally... over the top!Even if you are an experienced trekker, prepare for altitude sickness and go!Ruplal (guide) and Gopal (porter) were extremely careful of all the aspects of the trek, including distances, food, accommodations, clothes, backpacks, water, etc. Their experience is invaluable from a safety perspective and Ruplal has been able to arrange tiny flexible changes to the itinerary if/when requested.Khum was helpful end-to-end, with airport or hotel pickup, clarifications, etc. Nothing was left to doubt. All good.
Mr khum subedi of unique adventure is a through gentleman and helped me a lot to arrange this trek. As i was a solo trekker, he helped me right fr booking my flights ...to tea houses, ect. His fees are very resonable compated to others. He has a lot of connections in nepal and can get anything done. Since i was solo...he always enquired about my health...everyday. he also promised me to hele-evac in case of an emergency from any height. Thanks for making my trek-trip ...a very memorable one. God bless.
