Review Time
I normally only write 5 star reviews, wanting to be positive about businesses I have had good experiences with. But I can only give Vassco(n) a 1 star review.
I read an online article which rated the Vassco digital photo frame as the best of the products tested. The article did say one of the disadvantages was having to order direct and sometimes they were out of stock.
I went online and ordered the photo frame, and was pleased to see that the order was fulfilled quickly. I had requested the express delivery which was anything but express.
Whilst waiting I did check more closely Vassco and unfortunately just read 1 star reviews. This is something I wish I had done prior to making the order, as I would not have touched them with a barge pole.
When the package did eventually arrive, I did not receive the Vassco branded digital photo frame which was priced at £139, instead a U Hale photo frame which I could have ordered at £55.
Reading other reviews it would appear pointless to try and engage with Vassco to get either a refund or the actual photo frame which had been ordered.
If you are still reading this and still consider ordering something from Vassco I would strongly urge you to look at alternatives. The fact that they only have 1 star reviews should tell you everything you need to know about them.
I ordered a dictaphone from this website and received nothing at first. After disputing the charge with my bank, the company sent a cheap, clearly subpar product that doesn't match their description and fails to function as advertised. The device seems to need an app to operate — but no such app is available.
This issue is not unique. Many other customers have left 1-star reviews detailing similar problems:
– no delivery
– counterfeit or unusable items
– lack of effective customer support
What’s particularly alarming is that, according to official records, the company behind this site has been officially dissolved, yet the website remains active and continues to process payments.
Selling products online when the registered company is dissolved raises serious questions about credibility and consumer safety.
Considering:
receiving a product that is not as described,
the lack of necessary software for it to work,
the high number of negative reviews,
and the fact that the company is no longer operational yet still trading online,
I strongly advise against using this website.
If you have made a purchase here, contact your bank right away to initiate a chargeback for goods not as described. Don’t waste your time hoping for a real solution from this seller.
I urge regulators and consumer protection agencies to investigate this operation.
completely unacceptable experience. The $300 transaction raised concerns after 12 hours when I had not received a dispatch notice, only confirmation that the payment was processed. Consequently, I canceled the order in writing within the first 24 hours. Despite my cancellation, the items were still shipped three weeks later, and they sent the wrong products, dispatched from a location in Australia. The initial written response I received regarding the cancellation was a month after the purchase, and by then, I had already received the package. The company insists that the items were sent from another location and expects me to return them there, incur taxes, and pay a restocking fee, only receiving 80% of my original payment. This company is the worst; avoid them at all costs. As of now, this issue remains unresolved, and I have escalated it to my credit card provider for a chargeback.
