Review Time
Just done 7 months learner insurance with them with my son insured on my car under his own policy. Passed his test today and gone to insure him as a named driver on the same car to be told they wont insure him because of our postcode area. Why insure us in the 1st place then ??. This was the whole point of going with marmalade so we could transition into a named driver using all the same details. What an absolute joke of a company.
Spent £90 to insure my girlfriend as a leaner driver on my car only to find out after the fact that I needed to be 25 to be the supervisor driver at no point during the sign up did it say anything about having to be 25 bear in mind I’m 24 and held my licence 6 years… the legal requirement in the uk is 21 age and 3 years driving Experince. Only found out once the official paper work came through with the policy. Assumed I could cancel and get a refund but when I spoke to customer support they just said they don’t issues refunds to policies 30days or less. How’s that fair didnt even use the policy was 12 hours afyer that I cancelled the policy and tried to get a refund. Absolute scam and I wouldn’t give any of my business to this company ever again. Bit of a shame for them because they have lost a potential Customer in the future who might of spent more than the initial £90 they robbed from me. Would avoid at all costs us would recommend any one reading this review to go to veygo insurance instead. Better insurance for learners all round… Think marmalade needs to learn a bit about word of mouth marketing, I’m not ever recommending this company to anyone in the future. If they issues a refund I would kindly remove this review but as it stands this is what I think of the company.
