I can't comment on the actual insurance but getting in touch with this company is a nightmare. It's quite difficult to get onto the live chat and when you do the answers are extremely delayed. I Definitely would not recommend this company from a customer service point of view
I disclosed an (At Fault Accident) that I had in 2023 when I applied for a quote then went ahead and purchased the policy at a very good price. Next day I received an email from Marmalade telling me that they want an extra £286 plus £14.95 administration because I failed to disclose the Accident. I argued that I had disclosed it and was told that it did not register. I have now cancelled the policy but didn't get all of my money back. Marmalade retained £40. So, anyone who discloses a previous accident in the past 5 years, make sure that it registers BEFORE you accept and purchase any quote. Call Marmalade to get confirmation that the accident details has registered. Telephone number to speak direct is 0330 343 8814. I have now purchased elsewhere and got it cheaper than Marmalade's original quote. RESULT! 😃😃😃
Customer service terrible. Young girl working from home, not interested in solve a little problem. Just ending up cancelling policy and going with Collingwood. Ask to speck to supervisor, nobody albody available and it would take up to 48 hours to ring back . You couldn’t make it up!!
Poor. Take money from bank account without authorisation to renew. Even when contacted to not renew they still proceed to take funds. When advised they have stopped transaction they still take the payment 3 days later. Complaints issued but no one calls you back and online chat doesn’t give any definitive confirmation of what’s happening. Shocking service and would not recommend at all.
