We collected our new XPENG G6 today from Westaway XPENG and had a fantastic experience. Andy was brilliant from start to finish – friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful throughout the whole process. He took the time to answer all our questions and made everything feel relaxed and straightforward rather than pressured. The car looked amazing when we collected it and Andy made sure we understood all the features before we left. The handover was really smooth and it was clear that the team take pride in looking after their customers. We’re absolutely delighted with the car and the service we received. Thank you Andy – we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Westaway XPENG to anyone looking for a new car!
From making first contact with Andy White @Westwaymotors about my interest in an XPENG G6 I experienced fantastic customer service. I still did due diligence and tried around 20 cars from 8 manufacturers but nothing came close to the combined experience of the G6 and customer service from Andy. Such a welcome to have a dealer who values the customer and responds to emails quickly. I. I would recommend Westwaymotors and the XPENG G6, you won’t regret it. Thanks Andy
I had a great experience from westaway from start to finish. Elliot was very professional and kept me informed on when my car would be ready to drive away. I’ll be back for my next car!
Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! I know the motor trade have got a reputation, say no more. However, this dealership Westaway Motors in Northampton make Arthur Dailey look like an Angel. I think you'll find that if they take your car into their workshop, it will come out with various faults on it that were not there before. If not right away then shortly after. It seems that with the right computer test equipment they can put in false fault codes, adjust voltage levels, so as all of a sudden you have a fault/s appear. I don't know what they charge now but it was £100 an hour, probably double that now. I took my Jeep to them under warrantee and it suddenly developed other faults, when I took it back I was told it was a turbo. which it was not.As I was very suspicious about what I was told, I called out another company under warrantee, who found a hose had been oiled up so it would come off. The mechanic was astonished that the pipe had oil on it, as it was a vacuum pipe, the only way this could have happened was if someone deliberately did it. I shortly after had problems with the Mag wheel centre caps which had corroded, I asked them if they supplied them to me I would fit them myself. I was told no, they have to be done properly. What they actually did was to force a screwdriver into the side damaging all four wheels and then hammered the new one in. The actual damage was in the thousands to a brand new vehicle. The final experience was a recall, I don't know why I took it to them again, I put in cameras with sound and saw what was going on in the workshop including the workshop manager have a very long conversation with the mechanic.I saw the bonnet open, the radio went on and off as it was playing most of the time. I also heard the fuel cap open and slam shut. It seemed that all was ok little did I know then.I did notice a funny smell and the engine was overheating a little. The Jeep was left for a couple of days, it only had 12000 miles on the clock. When I started it, a few days later the whole dashboard light up like a Christmas tree. There must have been at least five to seven faults appeared. I took it back and they denied everything. I contacted trading standard only to find the manager is a personal friend, so he is above the law. I later found he had put petrol into my tank to destroy the engine.I took the Jeep to another Garage miles away who diagnosed numerous fault codes, I was with the mechanic while he was testing the Jeep. I asked him to delete the fault codes which he did and most did not come back. Only the sensors on the ABS had burnt out due to someone messing with the voltages. The satnav also did not work unfortunately the only one who could fault find that or should I say switch it back on was the dealer. I did find, once the vehicle was going, the Sat Nav worked. This was due to a duel feed via the ABS which had not been deliberately and maliciously turned off.I did try to contact many other people but even with video evidence it is hard to prove so they got away with it. I wonder how many others have been ripped off the same way. I managed to replace some parts that they damaged but I will never let this go. You really cant make this up! All I can do is to try to warn others off from the same ordeal. I do believe Mr Westaway has other dealership of other car brands as well, I know one is a Ford.
After reading so many good reviews, I'm very disappointed I arranged with Paul a salesman at Westaway Jeep Northampton to view and test drive the Chrysler 300c , after a 119 mile journey we find that the car had not been prepared or safety checked so was unable to test drive, to be honest it looked like it had been standing for a very long time out in the open dirty and under the bonnet full of leaves, Paul told me he would send a in-depth video the day before my visit, it never arrived. A complete waste of time 238 miles 5hrs.I wont be going back
This review is for Westaway Suzuki at Moulton site.I wouldn't touch this garage with a bargepole.Don't trust anything they say, from the sales guys to the so call service managers. They are highly trained to give you BS.I bought the Swace from this garage. When I picked up the car I was told it came with a 2 year free servicing. Fast forward 1 year, I took the car back to the garage for the first year service and was told to pay as I did not have it in writing despite my wife witnessed the conversation. The sale guy denied ever saying it. The service was absolutely poor. From not stamping the service book correctly, to excessively overfilled the engine oil by 1.5cm, to not using the correct engine grade oil. This is what the manual says: "If SAE 0W-16 oil is not available, SAE 0W-20 oil may be used. However, it should be replaced with SAE 0W-16 at the next oil change"Westaway Northampton used 5W-30. If they can't do these simple service items properly, it begs the question if they have the ability to fix anything more complicated. The Swace is a Toyota in disguise, but Westaway is a Suzuki franchise and does not have the ability to hook into the Swace onboard computer. This means they will not be able to service/fix a Swace properly as they will, for example, not be able to reset any engine coefficients to its optimal values, reset any faults, upgrade the engine management software, perform diagnostics etc. This is still true as of today (20th Jan 25). So if you want to buy a Swace you might as well buy it from a Toyota garage, at least your car gets proper mechanics looking after it.
Once again a great service experience from everyone at Westaway Motors. Always take my Suzuki Swift Sport to the guys there in Northampton and they have consistently given superb service. From initial contact and booking, right through to collection and of course the exemplary work done by the mechanics. So thank you once again to Gary Reynolds and everyone at Westaway for great personal service, mechanical excellence and all done at a very reasonable cost.
