The most horrible experience I ever had. It was a nightmare to apply for another financing paying attention to I'm a well known client who fully paid off my previous loan without any issues.
Still haven't received my total loss title.
Strongly do not recommend these guys.
Frustrating Experience with Credit Reporting and Fraud Dispute
I am sharing my experience with Westlake Financial regarding my auto loan account (ending in 0901) for my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition (VIN 1J4GW58J14C325116).
On November 2025 and again on February 13, 2026, I formally disputed this account due to documented "mileage discrepancies" and "odometer concerns". I provided supporting evidence including the vehicle title, odometer disclosure statement, purchase agreement, service records, and vehicle history reports.
I requested that Westlake pause negative credit reporting, mark the account as disputed with all credit reporting agencies, and conduct a thorough investigation.
As of February 20, 2026, I have not received a response, despite multiple follow-ups and submitting all requested documentation.
The account continues to negatively affect my credit report while it is under investigation with Experian, which has been very frustrating.
I have also filed complaints with regulatory authorities, including the CFPB, California Attorney General, and the FTC, due to the lack of timely resolution.
I am posting this review to alert other consumers about the potential delays and challenges in resolving disputes with Westlake Financial. I hope the company improves its processes and responsiveness for future customers.
According to the FCRA, consumers have the right to a fair and accurate credit report. My recommendation for anyone who has dealt with this service is to consider filing a civil suit in your local county. The company will need to hire legal representation to address their violations. It's essential to hold them accountable! Simply leaving a one-star review won't impact them as they disregard negative feedback. By pursuing civil action, you can ensure they incur legal costs, and they cannot file a counterclaim against you. You don’t need a lawyer, but they do, so let them bear the expenses of hiring counsel. It's time for consumers to take a stand. For those looking to serve them, their registered agent is a specific organization. I am preparing to file my lawsuit soon, so stay tuned for updates.
In 2019, I purchased a vehicle that was sold and financed for $15,300. I made a down payment of $1,500, leaving an estimated financed balance of $13,800. The loan term was five (5) years, with a fixed monthly payment of $548.Over the full loan term of 60 months, I paid a total of approximately $32,880. This amount significantly exceeds the original financed balance and raises serious concerns regarding the interest rate applied, the accuracy of the loan disclosures, and whether the total cost of financing was properly explained to me at the time of purchase.Based on the original loan terms, the account should have been paid in full by 2024. However, it is now 2026, and I am questioning whether my account was properly managed and whether I was charged amounts beyond what was contractually and legally justified. Stay away from Westlake Financial Company!!! This is the worst company ever! Use the bank instead!
The FCRA states clearly, consumers are entitled to a fair and accurate credit report. Here is my advice to anyone who had a contract with U.S. Auto Sales. File a civil suit in the county in which you live. Westlake will have to hire counsel to defend their violations. Make them spend the money! Quit allowing them to violate the law and get by. Leaving them 1 star does nothing and they dont care about negative reviews. You've got to make them spend the money and with civil suits they CAN NOT file a counterclaim. You do not need representation but Westlake does, so make them spend money to obtain counsel. Its time for you/we the consumer to fight back. Westlake's registered agent is Corporate Creations Network, Inc. You must serve their registered agent . I will be filing my lawsuit against them in a few days. Stay tuned for a follow-up post.
I’ve had a really bad experience with this company they are incompetent and scammers other financial companies give you well over 60-90 days to make payments this company does not this company will accept your payment an still pick up your vehicle. Nothing about anyone that works for their customer service team has common sense they lack knowledge of companies procedures an lack experience they have no sympathy for customers at all they accept low credit because they know they are going to scam you in the long run I’ve had my vehicle for about 2 years an the interest is insane please no one should ever go through what I’ve had to go through please don’t accept their loan wait for another’s bank approval they suck!!!!!
This is the most difficult customer support system to get in touch with ANYONE.Try calling their service and you'll be taken into LOOPS of automations with no clear way to talk to a representative.Specifically for their loan department. If you call their credit department to see if they can get you in touch with someone to help, they'll DENY you help because you're calling the WRONG department and mention it's "impossible" for them to connect you with an agent in another department. Lol this is ridiculous customer service! For lending money and offering credit, at least have a better human in the loop system vs these bullshit automations! After doing some finger magic with punch numbers on the automated system I somehow thought I caught a break and got a hold of someone. Lol funny enough it was an AI ASSISTANT! You guys cracking me up. Her name was Taylor and I got quite acquainted with her until I called her out and asked directly if she's an AI and funny enough she admitted it!After pushing forward with the AI Taylor, I got to speak with an agent. But damn, it took me a solid 25 minutes to get to that point and I consider myself someone highly technical. I can't imagine how hard it must be to reach a representative with a serious inquiry to speak to someone about an urgent matter who is elderly or non-technical.Fix you stuff guys, this is embarrassing. Anyone considering doing business with these people, here's your warning
Well, if you don't mind having your auto-loan company deduct your car-payment multiple times when they are supposed to only ONCE a month (and then make up reasons why that was legit) -- then, what could possibly be wrong with that??After my (honest) car-dealer helped me find an HONEST credit-union to which to transfer/refinance, these thieves took FOREVER to forward the Title, etc. Now, I'm working to get their no-longer-existing debt off my credit-report. If I could give Westlake Financial ZERO (0) stars or even -1, I would; but 1 star is the only option available.I cannot report Westlake Financial to an FTC that is unavailable in this Federal Government shutdown, but I *can* warn the public: If you have ANY choice at ALL, *STAY AWAY FROM WESTLAKE FINANCIAL!!!*
