Don’t bother buying from Wilson’s carpets total waste of time sell cheap substandard save your self some money shop elsewhere our bedroom carpet was creased from the word go and Wilson’s in Lincoln’s reply was we will give you discount on a future purchase no help what’s so ever
Carpet fitted fine no problem, but I didn’t expect that so much crap would be left behind to the point where there’s so much it needs a tip run!!! No mention whatsoever on sale, rang to complain and the guy over the phone clearly found it funny and was cocky to both me and my dad. He directed me to an email that was sent advising ‘cut offs’ would be left. This is more than cut offs. It won’t even fit in my car! I am a full time working mum with a 9 month old baby, I explained this on purchase as I was really struggling to be able to book it in in the first place, now to be left with all the garbage without being told ahead of time. I asked to speak to a manager, apparently no managers run the Hull branch, they only have area managers so they’re left to run the show as they please. There were plenty of opportunities to mention it - on sale, on the call to arrange the measuring up, further call with additional quotes for the rest of the house etc. well, we definitely won’t be getting the rest of the house done now. 1 - for not telling us important information such as needing to arrange a tip run after. 2 - for the sheer attitude of a member of staff at the Hull branch, whom I am not allowed to name and have been asked to edit my review. Of course, it’s not nice dealing with irate customers, but constantly talking over a customer and finding the situation funny isn’t right. Disappointed to say the least! Perhaps it would be run better if you had more senior staff on board as well as discussing important information on sale rather than hiding it in emails. You should ensure customers know about something like this before taking money, rather than emailing after about it. I did try to explain that I had received several emails from them with quotes and hadn’t had chance to go through them all yet. I was told those emails were quotes, not important information that I should take the time to go through prior to fitting. It’s a shame as the actual sale itself was fine, just missing one bit of very important information since I’m now left having to pay for the removal.
