It took six separate appointments to complete the carpet fitting. On multiple occasions, the fitters simply did not arrive, leaving us waiting at home all day with no communication. The company advised that they cannot guarantee fitting times and implied that it is normal to have to wait in on several occasions, which is wholly unsuitable for anyone with a busy schedule.On the fifth attempt, it was discovered that the carpet provided did not fit correctly. When the fitters finally returned for the sixth visit, they caused damage to my laminate flooring, leaving a noticeable chip. Despite my providing clear before-and-after photographs, the company has refused to accept responsibility for the damage, insisting that it is the fitter’s fault. However, as Wilson’s arranged the fitter directly (without giving me the option to choose my own), I believe they should take at least partial responsibility or assist in resolving the issue. Unfortunately, the fitter has accused us of being dishonest and refuses to cover the cost of repair, leaving me to pay for the damage myself.Furthermore, the company’s communication process is extremely poor. There are no in-store managers to speak with, and all complaints must be handled through head office by email. They also refuse to discuss issues over the phone, resulting in long, drawn-out email exchanges that could easily be resolved in a short conversation.Overall, I would strongly advise against using this company. Once they have received payment, there appears to be no commitment to customer care or after-sales service. This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing customer experiences I have ever encountered.
