I renewed by WSJ+ subscription on Feb. 9th thinking it was the renewal of the prior subscription. Low and behold yesterday i got charged $54.99 and when i called WSJ they said that first subscription used a DIFFERENT EMAIL than current renewed subscription and therefore had not been cancelled. I asked for a refund of the $54.99! NO REFUNDS ALLOWED AT ALL! talked to supervisor LIZ who canned the same BS after i explained the situation. So I renew as a faithful customer and all WSJ wants is $$ no matter how they get it. HORRIBLE. NO grievance procedure or any recourse for me. I will let BBB know and social outlets.

Malicious Subscription Practices

Legacy media company desperate for your cash. Will scam you with some low introductory offer and then sticker shock you with a $55 a month subscription. Looking forward to their bankruptcy. AI stock news FTW!

WIFE AND/OR I SUBSCRIBED FOR FORTY…

WIFE AND/OR I SUBSCRIBED FOR FORTY YEARS. ALTHOUGH THEY ARE STILL CONSERVATIVE-LEANING, IT IS QUITE OBVIOUS THAT THEY DISLIKE PRESIDENT TRUMP. IT GETS RIDICULOUS, SOMETIMES. SO WE CANCELLED RECENTLY. WE CAN READ THE HEADLINES, THEN GET LESS-BIASED INFO ELSEWHERE.

I tried to subscribe to the Wall Street…

I tried to subscribe to the Wall Street Journal (online digital only subscription) yesterday and my checking account was debited $8.56 for the first month's subscription. But when I tried to access the digital content the website said my subscription had expired. I tried everything with their customer service department - online chat assistant and calling the 800 number - and have had no resolution. The customer service agent with whom I spoke didn't speak much English and had trouble understanding my issue. He said he'd send a link to reset my password and never did. The customer service page on the WSJ website is useless. Options are limited and everything is circular.

The Wall Street Journal email e edition…

The Wall Street Journal email e edition subscription price is too expensive. My original subscription expired but I was not notified of the increased cost that was automatically charged. I thought the WSJ had more integrity. With electronics available today, you could easily notify your customers. If a subscription is cancelled, a partial refund should be issued but is not. Shame on the WSJ.

I got tired of the Left Wing views. Just not worth $65 a month.

Great newspaper, terrible company

Great newspaper, terrible company. AS everyone else has said, they bait with a 'fair' price, then quickly convert you to an outrageous monthly bill and wont allow you to cancel, or make it extremely difficult to cancel. even cancelling before i was charged, they would not cancel or refund, only agreeing to stop future payments. Because they already had my billing date for today.
