Review Time
As all of you know Ackerman was a month-to-month operation. Ackerman sells my contract to ADT, ADT turns it into a 2025 end date contract. Cancellation fee is now $300+ADT never changes, and the reason I was with Ackerman to begin with. A bunch of unaccountable thiefs.
Customer Service Rep was not helpful and could only tell me Ackerman has a new owner and blame Ackerman's bankruptcy for bad service. We have never had bad service until now. I am now searching for a new company to upgrade my security system.
Took way too long to get this appointment set up due to issues w understanding your peoples English. I called back several times. Finally Mark (American/English speaking) did a call w/me & we walked through CO issues. He set up an appointment & Gentleman came & was out of there w/in 15 mins.
I was pleased with Ackerman Security until I discovered the company was sold to ADT. I did not receive any notification that ADT would be my new service provider. I switch to Ackerman several years ago because ADT had unreliable customer service and were always raising my monthly service fee.ADT started billing me recently, and when I called, I was told of the change. This whole transition has just been a hassle.
I had a security system installed about 2 months ago. Since then I've been trying to just get a doorbell THAT ACTUALLY RINGS in my house. It doesn't seem like it should be this hard, but apparently it is. I've called ADT and Ackerman and just keep getting the runaround. My salesperson from Ackerman originally told me I just may need to buy another piece (are you kidding?!) and would get back to me the following week. It's been radio silence since then, despite me leaving him several messages. I'm extremely frustrated and can't seem to reach an actual person when calling Ackerman.
