Review Time
I have been going regularly to Carluccios at Rowley Regis since it opened. Over a short time, being a regular, had gentle chat's with the staff accompanied by my silly jokes. Love the atmosphere, the staff are brilliant and courteous, and always enjoy the food and my large Americano. The place itself is like a massive greenhouse so watching people outside going about their normal daily business whilst surrounded by gentle chatter inside is special I go twice a week and meet up with friends for a special time of laughs and chats. Thank you to the staff for making this happen.
Was busy when arrived but but as we were having a late lunch it was soon quiet. Service was abysmal. Had to ask at least 4 times for water, for the dessert menu and the bill! Sometimes staff glided by the table totally ignoring me trying to ask for something. In my opinion food was average but extremely over priced. £90 for 2 people for tomatoes on 1 slice of sourdough; small serving of mushroom risotto; ice cream and a glass of wine each
I used to really love this restaurant, but lately the service has gone downhill. When we arrived, it was pretty empty, and one of the staff told us to sit wherever we liked. But as we were heading to a table, another waitress stopped us and said, “This is a restaurant, you can’t just walk in and sit where you like” – which came across as really rude. We then waited around 20 minutes without anyone coming to take our order, while the table next to us got served straight away. On the bright side, the food was as tasty as always.
Wonderful meal at Carluccios 7/7/25 7 pm. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Thank you for making us happy after a terrible experience at the Rose and Crown before we arrived. Thank you to the lovely smiling lady who took us to our table.We will return
Appalling experience ordering hampers for a birthday. Without telling me they decided not to deliver as some items not available. Only found this out as I phoned to find where it was. Ignored three emails of complaint. No response from them whatsoever.
I visited the Solihull restaurant for lunch on 21st May 2025. During my visit, the waiter kindly advised me to keep the receipt in order to receive a 50% discount on my next visit. Unfortunately, I misplaced the receipt. When I returned to the Solihull branch three days later and provided proof of payment via my credit card transaction, I was informed that a reprint of the original receipt was not possible.Despite understanding the need for certain policies, I was disappointed that no alternative solution could be offered, especially as I had proof of purchase. As a result, I am unable to benefit from the advertised discount, which has led me to cancel my planned return visit.While I appreciate the initial helpfulness of the staff, I believe this experience reflects a lack of flexibility in customer service that impacted my overall impression.
