Review Time
What an awful station. I am forced to listen to Jenny Faulkner each morning because of another family member. I can't help but feel the frustration of hearing a nice tune only for it to be faded out, or for Jenny to start talking over it, well before it has finished. 'More Music Mornings' they call it. Yes, because you're only playing two-thirds of each song.
Smooth radio are getting a pain in the rear, especially repeating the same songs at similar times..eg. Dusty Springfield .Son of a Preacher Man..ive heard countless times..Dusty sang some great songs..many many hits..doesn't the Smooth producers know any other Dusty songs?Smooth producers or dj's if need be definitely need upgrading and changing..a few lessons in pop. rock and jazz etc..going back to the archives.And the adverts..who listens to them..boring boring boring..no imagination..funny..its like listening to paint dry.I know that pays, but utter crap many.Ive just been checking reviews..When before i first did a review about Smooth..my first thinking, I can't be the only one turning off this repetition..similar times, every day..and i was a million % correct. 90% With the same views..the other 10% are mentally deaf.If I was an advertiser I'd definitely be removing my ad's..utter waste of time and serious money. And the person on here who described these as presenters not dj's talking a load of shit.. inc Kate Garaway..get some factual things of interest.. mind stimulation as one reviewer mentioned.Smooth has gone rough rough...needs lots of Filing down, then Sandpapering. followed by Emery paper and polishing compound..may may save it??.A quick note,..Smooth is owned by Global and has other stations..Whats happened in my firm belief as a businessman is; complacency at its best..getting good reviews initially and following but...keeping the same.old theme and continuous repetitive music..boring presenters with no insight or imagination..Smooth will obviously, like now, keep losing listeners without the changes required as ive mentioned and, more importantly to them, revenue from advertisers..once they read these reviews and do their sums..well its obvious.
This is by far the worst station on the airwaves I can’t understand why the have presenters on here as they serve no purpose whatsoever, I call them presenters because they’re definitely not DJ’s they talk absolute garbage and at least the R2 DJ’s are genuinely interested in music and very rarely play the same song or artist in the same month never mind same day!!! Get this station off the airwaves
I have smooth on every morning but as soon as the breakfast person leaves the play list from 10am is the exact same songs every week day. What skill in being a DJ is this, so it has in my mind now been verified that radio DJs just get handed a playlist every day and jumble up the songs. No thought or skill in this. I am definitely switch stations.
