We had an extremely frustrating experience with X (formerly Twitter). Our official startup account (@sidex_fun) and our founder’s account (@sleechain) were suspended without prior notice or any clear explanation — right in the middle of our participation in the Colosseum Hackathon, a critical event for our project.

It appears these suspensions were the result of organized “mass reporting” by malicious actors, not actual policy violations. We’ve tried every possible way to contact support, but have yet to receive any human response or clarification.

In addition, we invested €190 in the “X Premium Business” verification process, which took four days to review and was never completed. Without proper support channels or transparency, this situation has been deeply damaging to our team and to the growth of Sidex.

We sincerely hope X will urgently review these cases and improve how legitimate startups are treated especially those actively contributing to the tech community.

Frustrating Experience with Account Suspension

I have maintained an account with the platform since its inception. I rarely use it, but it was always available when needed. Recently, the service decided to suspend my account without any clear reason, claiming I violated their rules. This is utterly absurd. I hardly use it in a way that could lead to violations. I have been completely honest with them, stating that I have not violated any rules, and the only issue I can recall is being hacked earlier this year by foreign hackers, which might be related. Despite my repeated attempts to communicate, they have not been truthful with me. This company is dreadful and shouldn't be allowed to mistreat individuals at will. What steps can I take to pursue legal action against these wrongful accusations?

Frustrating experience with account recovery

I had an account back in 2010 and forgot the login details, and I no longer have access to the email or phone number I used as they are no longer valid. I attempted the recovery process, but nothing was successful. Recently, I tried various resources from the help center, but they didn’t provide any verification options and wouldn’t let me report the account, especially since some strange tweets appeared. Once they reply, there’s no way to continue the conversation, and they claim they can’t verify the account as mine, even though my picture and full name are clearly visible. They didn’t make any effort to confirm my identity. This has been very frustrating and annoying. Now, the account is essentially impersonating me, and the platform is doing nothing to address it.

Despite being a paying Premium user and following all the recovery steps, the support team has not resolved the issue or offered any meaningful human assistance. This situation is not just a minor inconvenience; it's a major security and privacy concern. Their system traps victims in automated loops without any sense of urgency or escalation, even when sensitive information or business access is at risk. If your account is compromised, do not expect genuine support. The support system is ineffective, unaccountable, and ill-equipped to address safety-related emergencies. A platform of this size should prioritize security breaches, not leave users in silence.

The worst experience with any service.

If you subscribe to the premium service, you might as well just throw away your money because that’s what you get! Paying for a verification badge is supposed to boost your account's visibility and engagement, but it doesn’t work for smaller accounts. The algorithm is extremely buggy, and the notifications system is completely broken. Additionally, the customer service is the worst I’ve ever encountered. The only way to reach out is through direct messages, and after several days, you receive an automated reply. Asking to speak to a human just leads to more generic messages that don’t address your issue. In summary, if you’re considering joining and paying for verification, don’t bother. It’s a joke of a service.
