Worst sewage discharge in the country!

We have reduced our annual water use by 1/5th - plus experiencing a hosepipe ban for months in 2025.

Today, I got a bill saying our costs are increasing by 8%.

I get clean water, but that's about it!

As as customer, I cannot choose which supplier I go to - it's not democratic!

I am very impressed with how user-friendly and transparent the Yorkshire Water website is. Everything is easy to find and manage online. I particularly appreciate the sections dedicated to water-saving tips—they are very clear and provide practical advice on how to reduce consumption. A fantastic bonus is the option to receive free water-saving products; it shows that the company truly cares about both the environment and its customers. Great service overall, highly recommended!

I needed to query a bill payment and also set up a new account in my mothers name. On 2 occasions I called Yorkshire Water, they were unbelievably helpful! Especially an assistant called Heidi. She was simply amazing so helpful, kind, understanding and professional! I can't thank her enough. Heidi definitely went above and beyond in terms of providing an excellent customer service experience. Its so refreshing to receive this level of service from a large organisation! Extremely happy 😊

Significant Breach of Duty and Poor Administration The service provider has failed to fulfill its legal obligation to properly investigate a suspected issue within its water or sewerage system. Despite clear and reasonable evidence provided — including confirmation from two independent builders that the problem is not due to rainwater and is likely related to external pipes or drainage under the company's responsibility — the organization declined to conduct a site inspection or send a qualified engineer. All decisions were made remotely by non-technical personnel without engineering qualifications, relying on a scripted “triage” process that is wholly inadequate for addressing liability in complex drainage issues. This reflects procedural unfairness and a failure to apply reasonable care and expertise. At both customer service and formal complaint stages, the service provider refused to meaningfully engage with the evidence presented, instead shifting responsibility to the customer's insurer. This approach seems to be a deliberate tactic to avoid costs rather than a genuine investigation, resulting in unnecessary distress, delays, and possible property damage. Such actions fall significantly below the standards expected from a regulated utility provider and signify poor administration. Customers who fulfill their payment obligations deserve proper investigation and support, not a blanket refusal based on internal policies.

Usually, I have to wait a long time to speak with someone, but I got through in just 2 minutes this time, which was fantastic. The representative who answered my call was kind and very helpful. Instead of spending over 20 minutes resolving my issue, it was all sorted out in about 2.5 minutes. Big kudos to her!
