I was initially impressed by You.com's inline citation system—it gives the impression that answers are grounded in real sources. However, after using it regularly, I started noticing serious accuracy issues. The cited sources often don’t actually support the claims being made, or the references are loosely connected at best.In several cases, I followed the footnotes only to find that the linked pages had nothing to do with the specific statement. It creates a false sense of trust and makes fact-checking more frustrating, not easier. If you're relying on You.com for academic or professional tasks, be cautious. The citations may look transparent, but they don’t always hold up under scrutiny.
Multiple Missed Deadlines on Routine work! I have been using you.com for several months, but over the last month and a half, you.com has missed multiple deadlines. I have an accounting spreadsheet with 19 different due dates that extended over a month and is still not complete. I had a request to create a book signing flyer, and it has taken 3 weeks and 11 missed deadlines! I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU.COM
I've been using you.com for so long, and I encounter a poorly experience lately, it just not giving good results, its way too short and the research is disappointing. Also my data has been recorded even though in it's policy says it's private and doesn't track users.
Been using You.com nearly a year for educational curriculum. Love the function. Recently canceled my pro subscriptions and created a team at twice the price. However, I can't add any team members and they're already paid for. No real help from support. Basically a "sorry about that" and "we'll provide an update from our engineers when we have one". I like the product/service but without good faith support, why should anyone commit to you or trust you?
I’ve been using You.com since November 2024, and it has completely transformed how I work and manage my personal life. What I love most about You.com is how it connects with dozens of different LLMs and lets me create custom agents powered by the right model for the right task. It’s like having a perfectly tailored AI assistant for anything I need—whether it’s brainstorming ideas, finding specific information, or tackling complex work projects. The interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to use, and everything just works seamlessly. I also really appreciate how it balances privacy with functionality—it’s rare to find a platform that gives you so much control while still being incredibly powerful. Honestly, You.com has been a game changer for both my work and my personal productivity, and I’m constantly finding new ways to make the most of it.If you’re on the fence about trying it, one of the podcasts that got me really excited about the future of You.com was this one with the CEO, Richard Socher: “AGI, The Future of AI Agents And The Next Wave of Opportunities in AI.” Hearing him talk about building the platform and the future of AI agents gave me a lot of insight into what makes You.com so innovative. If you’re looking for an AI tool that’s powerful, flexible, and ahead of the curve, I can’t recommend You.com enough. It’s worth every penny, and the value keeps growing the more you use it. Five stars, easily.
I recently encountered a disappointing experience with You.com. They initially offered a free one-year voucher for their services, which seemed like a great deal. However, after a short period, they unexpectedly revoked the subscription without any clear explanation. This abrupt change felt misleading and untrustworthy. I would advise others to be cautious when considering their offers.
