Review Time
I reached out to them in time of panic and confusion but they made me believe in myself. Trust my self. I was facing unfair dismissal but they assisted me to win the case positively. They assisted me to gather enough evidence to win my case.
I was impressed by the reviews, so I decided to sign up. But I soon realised those comments can’t be trusted. The person who called me from Dorchester ( ending with 542) was incredibly rude — he kept talking down to me and insisted I had no case. I actually do have a potential strong case after consulting with a solicitor. After looking into this union, I discovered it’s basically just a private company, possibly run by only two people! Please don’t waste your money. even if it looks like a good deal. They make it sound like you’ll get immediate support when you join, but in reality, you’ll probably just be dismissed and discouraged instead.
Been a member for nearly a year. They haven't represented me but been more of a advisory and back you up union. I tried to contact the union as my manager was recording and watching me on a monitor in the office and my manager keeps messing up my pay and I have to fight for my money. Eventually after weeks trying to get hold of your mate I got a phone call back. Only to be told that my manager can record and monitor me as much as they want, even without any reason.(which i later found out the cannot) and then to be told as long as I do Eventually get my pay that is short there is nothing I can do, even if it is an ongoing problem.I still cannot get hold of anyone from the office. I am trying to cancel my membership but I can't. Hopefully some one from yourmate ( which are not my mates ) can get hold of me and cancell my membership and hopefully give me at least 3 months membership back because I have had to do everything.
The Union Representative was very professional in the way he dealt with my case. He made sure that I understood and was always giving me latest updates on how the case was progressing. He gave me sound advice that was very crucial and would happily recommend them(YOURMATE) to anyone who is struggling and are having issues with their employers.
My union representative (Mr D Dawes) was exceptionally helpful. He helped me through my whole time of problems at work. The representative was keeping in touch frequently and advising me on what I need to do. And made me feel welcome. I definitely would recommend Your-mate. 👍

I was in an unfortunate position at work where I required the help and support from a union. It was difficult to find one that would represent me with the case as it had already started and needed help as it was going to a hearing. I’ve never been in this position before and found the whole situation rather daunting. I contacted Dave Dawes at your mate and he confirmed her could represent me at this stage (when others refused) and his medical background was perfect. I signed up there and then. Once we had all the evidence and statements he picked up very quickly that there was a lot of information missing. He contacted my employer and handled everything from that point. I honestly felt like I had handed him a ticking time bomb, and he was going to sort it. He has such a calm manner, perfect for these situations.He made some very valid points in my hearing and I am now thankfully back at work 9 weeks after my suspension started.
