Excellent service, stayed until the work was done. Thorough, careful and informative. Replaced boiler, fixed leak, fitted radiator thermostats. Lovely manner and very hard working. We will be asking for Lee specifically when it’s time for our service!!
We hired 800 Homefix ltd for our kitchen sink plumbing problem. First of all, they asked to pay 120£ upfront, which we paid.
Before booking, I already told the agent that we have done a basic DIY check on our end and we would need the plumber to snake the sink to fix it because the problem is deeper. He agreed to it over the call.
When the plumber arrived, he did very basic things - plunger and chemical, which everyone knows only solves toplevel issues, and asked us to pay 340£ for using the machine. We asked which machine, and he didn't specify and just mentioned "any machine that will do the job", even if it costs 10£ or 300£, which sounded absurd to me. So basically we paid 120£ for basically for the engineer to do what we already did on our end. I would not recommend this company to anyone. We read some reviews related to similar issue, but the agent on call ensured us that they will fix the problem.. Maybe they forgot to add we will charge 340£ to actually fix it. It's very frustrating..
The service is first class. The engineer (Jackson) turned up ahead of time and inspected our old boiler and treated us as high priority as our boiler had packed up. We had no hot water this was however remedied with a replacement boiler recomended by the engineer (Jackson), who installed it on the same day. Very happy.
They sent this ‘engineer’ Lee Moloney. He charged me £3840 and he installed us a boiler which retail price is between £700-£900 including VAT. When I asked for a break down of the price he said the policy of company said that they could only provide lump sum prices. I kept on ringing the company for a whole week and every time they said somebody would call me, nobody called me in the end. The last time they said the manager called Austin would call me but still no sign of him... This is the typical pattern of a scam, they see you are vulnerable, they charge you a fortune and have no transparency on their charges and they avoid your calls. It totally shocking that they can charge you £3K for a days work to install a boiler. Even Checkatrade establishes that the installation of a boiler is between £1K and £2K, this company is just having a laugh... At the expense of the customer. They should not be allowed on Checkatrade, they are proper cowboys. Shame on you 0800Homefix, shame on you Lee Moloney!!!!
