Review Time
Ordered 2 new doors (front and back) on the 10th December 2025. On ordering it I mentioned could I pay extra for a new window lock on one of our windows. The guy who sold us the doors told us they would fix the lock included in the price given and this was even written on the contract they gave us (the pink paper contract) They originally booked the doors in to be fitted at the beginning of Febuary however I received a phone call only a day before to change the original date as my doors weren't ready. Unhappy as I had booked the day off work I agreed and the date was changed till end of February. Another phone call again just days before the 2nd arranged fitting date to say my doors still wasn't ready and they need to change the date for the 3rd time, due to another day booked off work I told them how I wasnt happy about it. Months the doors have been ordered and now they want the date to be changed a 3rd time, the guy on the phone was apologetic and said one door was ready so that can be done on the 2nd planned date and the 2nd door to be done 4 days later. So agreed with this.
1st door fitted, the fitter guy was brilliant and the door is lovely. However when asked about the window lock he had no idea and said he hadnt been informed. He told me he had phoned the office up and the guy who is fitting the 2nd door in 4 days time will bring the kitchen lock. Thats fair enough. 4 days later 2nd door fitted, lovely guy pleased with the doors. However no lock for the window and no recollection of it ever being mentioned. So this is something we now need to go and do ourselves because promises are just broken with this company.
Overall I am pleased with my doors and the fitters. However communication in this company clearly isn't the best and it seems to me once they have your custom and money thats it they mess you about. Personally I wouldn't use this company again, I feel unnecessary stress and loss or earnings from work on days off just isn't worth it which is ashame because we are looking for new windows in our house.
Im sure there are other companies who will happily take £1000s of pounds and keep there promises to paying customers.
What can I say, from making the initial call to the follow up call once completed has been exceptional.
The sales team were very willing to our request. Lynn arrived on time and on the day as requested, she explained fully what our options were, telling us a surveyor would be next to visit. Once again, apologies name not remembered, he arrived on time and completed the final measurements giving us a few more options to consider. All arrangements were confirmed over the phone and on our day of choosing, (24/2), Pete's team turned up.
What a pleasure to deal with they were, confirmed colours, special requests, and if we had any preference of back or front first. They were friendly, polite and cleaned all their mess once they had finished.
I cannot recommend this company enough, if we need anything more in the future I will go nowhere else, great work, brilliant staff and very reasonable price.
I don't really write any reviews inless I,m really with the service and the company deserve a good mention but this company as far as we are concerned is absolutely diabolical. It took them 4 visits to complete an order which was late starting and postponed 3 times. Each time the fitters came they didn't know the full order or had pieces missing. When they finally did complete the order one fitter told me there shoukd be magnets on the bi folding doors so after countless phone calls I wrote another poor review and received a response straight away. Also after 2 week one of the keys in the window lock had broken in the lock which meant we could close the window but not lock it. The installation manager called me and told me the magnets and the repair for the eindow lock would be sent in the post and that we would have it in 5 days, that was 5 weeks ago. He also had the cheek to say that when we receive the items would we change our review to state that the companyb ahs retified the problem and all was well. So I don'y know if the company overall is poor or the installation manager as I have had numberous telephone conversations with him in the past and nothing was done. I am at the end of my tether with this company whether it is me that has had one bad experience as other reviews seem to be fine but the service we have had was poor to say the least. It seems like they tell you what you want to hear then forget about it.
Absolutely delight with my new door looks lovely …. Fitters arrived on time explained what they were going to do and how long it would take once fitted they went through how to use the door and lock tidied up when they had finished and took old door away job completed in one and a half hours excellent service thank you to Dan and Stuart polite and very friendly would highly recommend this company
Great job on all my patio doors from 1st Glass. All were friendly and professional and kept me.informed all the way through the process. Left clean and tidy afterwards, very happy with the job!
We are thrilled with our new doors (3 total). The representative who visited us initially was very personable and accommodating, making us feel at ease without any pressure. From the moment we decided to go with the company until the installation, we received regular communication as needed. The installer was fantastic—extremely tidy and left everything clean. We are very satisfied with the product. I highly recommend!
I previously wrote a not-so-favorable review, and the owner responded, suggesting I call to resolve any issues. When the fitters installed our bi-folding doors, they claimed they didn't have the necessary magnets and advised me to reach out to the office. Following the owner's reply, I contacted the office to inform them that a key had snapped in one of the window locks after three weeks. They noted the issue and promised a callback, but it's been two weeks with no follow-up. We ordered the windows and doors on August 25, but the installation was inconsistent, with fitters arriving without all the necessary windows, even missing a front door's side glass. It took nearly four months to finish the installation, and I’m still without the magnets.
We recently had new doors and windows installed by a service. The experience was outstanding. The two fitters were top-notch, leaving no mess and being very courteous. Thank you for your hard work! The customer support was also impressive.

Outstanding experience from beginning to end. From the initial introduction and planning to the installation, a friendly yet professional company. The fitters arrived early in the morning as scheduled and immediately got to work. They worked diligently all day to complete the job and ensured a thorough clean-up afterwards. Great team!
