Review Time
The service was excessively priced. On a Saturday evening before Christmas, I discovered a leak in the valve for the filling loop in the hot press, which caused the boiler pressure to drop, rendering it inoperable. With a baby and a young child at home, I needed a quick fix. I anticipated a high cost for a Sunday morning job, but after €305 for just 20 minutes of work, I felt taken advantage of. The technician didn't even pressurize the system after installing the new filling loop; I had to call my wife to check if the boiler was functioning. She ended up having to call him back to top up the system and bleed some radiators. I could have handled the system top-up myself if I weren't at work, but the job should have been completed and verified. It feels like these companies exploit people's desperation during emergencies. I was hesitant to leave a review, but when I received a message offering a €15 voucher for a positive review, it left a bad taste, so I decided to share my honest experience.

The guy didn't even pressurise the system after fitting the new filling loop, only for i called my wife to see if the boiler was back working as I was in work. She had to get him back in to top up the system and bleed some radiators. I would have been able to top up the system myself but was at work for the day, but the job should have been completed and then tested after. Feel like these companies take advantage of people to much in a moment of panic. I wasn't going to write a review but when I got a message from them later telling me I would get a €15 voucher if I left a good review, that didn't sit right with me so here's an honest review
24 Hour Plumber have provided us with a very rapid, courteous and efficient service on a number of occasions. Most recently, Pamela arranged for Thomas to call to our home within an hour to deal with a problem with our downstairs bathroom. Thomas resolved the issue quickly and effectively. I will continue to call on 24 Hour Plumber for any plumbing problems.
I rang 24 Hour Plumbing and spoke with Pamela about getting a new toilet and sink plumbed in where the old ones had been removed. She was fantastic – straight away she offered me an appointment for 7:30am the very next morning. Sure enough, Thomas arrived right on time.He was excellent from start to finish, explaining clearly what he was doing and checking in with me throughout. When he discovered the toilet pipe was at floor level and needed to cut into the plaster, he explained exactly what he planned to do and made sure I was happy with it before continuing.Thomas was extremely professional, sound, and respectful. He worked neatly, tidied up all the packaging, and even swept up afterwards – leaving everything spotless.I’m extremely happy with the service. The efficiency, professionalism, and the way Thomas checked in with me as the customer really stood out. Highly recommend 24 Hour Plumbing – thank you!
I rang Pamela on Sunday evening with water stains on my ceiling from my hot press & Darren arrived at 10.30pm, Darren did an amazing job and Pamela was so kind & helpful I would highly recommend as they are professional, helpful and timely, thank you Georgina
I contacted this company in November 2024.First through the form, then by phone. I specified multiple times that the pressure in my boiler was dropping, so there was a leak in the apartment I moved in a week earlier. I phoned multiple times and sent pictures. I should have brought my money somewhere else. That was the first key to understand that something was wrong. They sent me the plumber Jarlath Nolan around a week later. I was charged for a service and at the time I did not know what it was for, but it did not solve my issue. Means that I pay over 200 euro, but issue is still there. After paying I receive a message where it is stated that I will get a 15-euro one4all voucher if I leave a good review. This is a horrible news itself I would never consider someone that gives money over good reviews.Jarlath under pressure shows up again in December 2024 and finds the issue, but he needs to come back to fix it. Also in this circumstance, he borrows a usb plugger and a usb c cable that I thought I could get back next time.A couple of weeks later that I spend chasing him, he finally comes back and fix the leak. The boiler pressure is still going down slowly but one of my colleagues suggested to let it go.I pay again but this time for the actual fix. I don't get the stuff that he has borrowed back.Six months later begging to get my stuff as I needed them, he brings the plugger to my place but not my 100w cable bought in Italy for my tablet. I could not find another one here in the shops and I was suggested to buy that online. I will never ever call them again and I can see multiple reasons not to do that.
We had a sink with a semi-pedestal that broke, and needed it replaced urgently. We tried to do it ourselves but unfortunately the new sink did not fit on the treaded rods of the previous sink, as they were too long. There was also a tile behind the treaded rods that had a crack but was otherwise ok.We called 24 Hour Plumber, and Gavin came out to the apartment. He was gruff, asked us several times for tools that he should have had with him, and proceeded to a) cut the treaded rods too short resulting in the new sink not fitting, b) removed the tile without our consent and refused to replace it, and c) left the place an absolute mess with silicone everywhere.After he left, we tried to contact the company but they did not answer. As we were now left with a mess for a bathroom and needed the sink, we called another company, that had to install an entirely new bracket in order for the semi-pedestal under the sink to fit, at great cost (5 times the price).We then contacted 24 Hour Plumber again to explain what had happened and to ask for a refund for not only not doing the job they were called out to do, but causing damage by cutting the rods too short and removing the tile. We should have asked for compensation for what we had to pay extra but didn't, we simply asked for the fee they had charged us.A very rude receptionist kept telling me "he did a good job so there's no reason for a refund but I'll have someone contact you tomorrow".Tomorrow came and went, I called back and was met with a dismissive tone but yet again told "tomorrow."After this was repeated 4 times, I was understandably frustrated and asked why the "boss's wife", as the receptionist put it, wouldn't respect my time and simply give me a call back, as was promised several times. I was told to "shut up" and "what the hell do you want me to do".I then finally get a call at 20:00 on Saturday (the next day), where the "boss's wife" tells me that she stands by her staff, that they did a good job, and told me to stop calling otherwise she would call the Gardai.I am at a loss for words. I have never, ever been treated with such blatant disrespect and wanton disregard for a clear mess up, with photos and all.Never use them. The plumbers we used to fix their damage were polite and professional - these people will never stand by their work and always look for the cheap way out.
