Review Time
Had to get an HP laptop looked at urgently after accidentally spilling a drink on it - with so few places able to sort it out last-minute due to Covid closures, I had to ring round a number of shops, and A2Z were the first who were able to help me out at short notice. Service was friendly, and they finished work on the laptop earlier than expected the next day.Not a cheap repair, but worth it for the efficiency.
Do NOT use this company!!!I used this company to repair a MacBook Pro screen which had stage light issues, this was not a bad display issue and I had lived with it for a month before I got back to the UK to get it repaired. Quoted £550 for the repair, got to the shop and the price rose to £600. Agreed on £550, the repaired it in a day. 30 hours later 4 pixels failed, green hue on the camera. I complained, at first they dodged my calls. Eventually after trying to convince me this was acceptable and normal, I asked for my original screen reinstalled. They offered to change the screen for another. the second lasted two days and developed grey lines. I was flying out the next day. I had to fly out of the UK and return to Barbados. A2Z told me there was nothing they would do unless I sent the current screen to them to prove I didn't break it. I told them I couldn't post it back since the company in Barbados wanted to take their replacement screen to return it to Apple. I passed a work report from the Barbados company (Authorised repair centre) listing the errors in installation and lack of any traceable serial numbers. They do not respond to emails and have been very rude on email when they do respond. I am left £550 out of pocket and had to pay twice to have my laptop repaired. It is not as if I bought a laptop from them and refuse to return it. They took my original screen, replaced it with a faulty and untraceable screen, I took it for repair here and the company took their A2Z's incorrectly installed screen and replaced it with a new approved screen.A2Z offered me £50 pounds to "make things right", I am currently £550 pounds down. They are not an authorised or approved repair centre. If you're not happy with the work, they will do NOTHING for you and cut you off. I will make every effort to let anyone know not to let these people work on your devices. In emails they said if I review them they will "make posts about you", lovely to be threatened. Do not trust them with your money or devices.A2Z have responded and their reply is full of libellous statements. I have copies of all communication between me and their company. Edit your reply to reflect the truth or I shall sue.My email in response to their reply to this review."You obviously fail to understand my email. What you wrote are lies. Lies on any forum are libel, you have broken a very simple law.I took screen shots and sent them to my UK lawyer already.Nothing in my post is incorrect. I have all the emails to prove it.Edit your reply with an apology for lying about your allegation of threatening your staff or my being abusive.A written apology now online. Immediately."A2Z's reply."Your email on Nov 11, 2020, 4:04 PM "There are no flights to the UK until at least 09 December." - This implies that we can expect you to send back our screen from 9th December ie about a month after the email.I have all our email communication and you have made a few untrue statements in your reviews The screen we replace for your MacBook Pro is a brand new replacement screen hence, why we must have it back to return it to the supplier and get our refund/replacement. You can check the value of the screen for yourself on eBay: "removed per Trustpilot conditions"Also, check on eBay as all sellers have a pixel policy which is standard for replacement screens.Your faulty screen is not useful to us so you can have it anytime as we have labeled it ready for you. There is no need to be going round in circles just find a way to send us back our screen and we give you a full refund. Our customers are important to us and we always do our best to keep them happyKind RegardsP: 0207 6275 643"If, as stated below I had been "abusive and threatening to staff" then I would think they would have mentioned this in the email reply to my email. However, since it was untrue, they didn't. I replied that the review was libellous and needed to be removed. It has not been done, please understand that this in not a company you should ever consider using.
I took an iPad in to have the screen repaired during the coronavirus crisis. It was a fairly new iPad but one of the buttons was damaged, which the repairer was aware of. When I picked up the iPad it needed restoring, which I took it home to do. When it wouldn't restore I took it back and A2z took it in for a weekend to try to get it working. But they didn't succeed. Very reluctantly they returned £50 of the £95 repair cost and I had to buy a new iPad as my daughter was using it for schooling. I couldn't go to Apple at this point because stores were closed so I waited to leave a review in order to be fair, as possibly they would get it working. Today I took the iPad into Apple and they also couldn't get it to restore, possibly due to the faulty button, but they also said that they never do screen repairs for iPads as it is too dangerous. So in the end my iPad no longer functions, and I've still paid £45 for the new screen. I won't be going back.
Disappointing. Service turned hostile very quickly after wanting to charge me DOUBLE, days after giving original quote for something that wasnt even my fault. No apology whatsoever either, for wasting 3 days of my time.In the end I took my iPad to a repair shop in Streatham for *HALF THE PRICE* and a much friendlier, welcoming service.Update: Regarding a2z's reply - Stop hiding behind the phrase "FAKE REVIEW!"I KNOW EXACTLY who bs me. It was the African man in the tiny shop along Wandsworth road. I'm not 'mistaken' with the company.Just because you cant keep up with the amount of customers you've tried to rip off doesn't mean my review is fake. Idi0t.My experience with you wasn't good and I'm allowed to say so.And what has '3 months' got to do with anything?! My issue with your company happened earlier than that.Maybe if you apologise after wasting customers time they'd be more lenient reviews. And arguing back because you don't like a review just shows how professional you are... Not.
