Just had an assessment for my son over teams. It was a really good experience and I thought my son may not last the full assessment as he's impulsive and not attentive but Andrew Roberts who assessed him was really good with him, and engaged him so it was a really smooth appointment. The whole process has been easy and accessible. The help given at each stage to get to the assessment was also faultless, I will fully recommend this service to anyone needing diagnosis.
Due to lifelong circumstances, at 30 years old I decided to reach out for an ADHD assessment. I was really nervous and didn't know what to expect from the assessment, but found the appointment with the clinician actually very enjoyable. My clinician was Imran and we went through a series of questions to finalise my assessment in which I was asked to provide examples of from childhood and present. I feel so grateful that he then helped explain ADHD to me and how it encompasses so many more symptoms than the typical ones you easily hear about. This helped me feel so much relief in my own symptoms that I spent my life questioning. Imran's pace also really helped me stay focused during the appointment, his years of experience is very apparent. I have to say I really appreciate my clinician's gentle and kind nature as well. Lastly, I'd like to thank the kind lady who kept trying to call me because I had put my appointment in for the wrong time (30 min later than the actual appt) and nearly missed it. I don't know her name, but if she didn't attempt to call me multiple times, I may have fully missed it and be left with so much regret, so thank you both so much!
I went into my assessment feeling very anxious and struggling with imposter syndrome. Suzanne was incredibly reassuring and professional. She is clearly highly knowledgeable and helped me stay on track when I felt overwhelmed by all the information. I really appreciated her support in helping me finally start to understand my brain.
Less than 8 weeks from referral request to assessment and diagnosis. I felt more cared for and listened to during that assessment session than I have my whole adult life. Thank you.
