Do not leave your dogs here

Please check before you leave your loved ones here. Not all branches are the same. We left our two dogs in the south branch near Redhill after we had read all the reviews and had a personal recommendation. The experience could not have been worse. Yes the dogs were not able to be trained and there’s no guarantee about that which we were OK with. But what we were not prepared for was the very poor conditions of the kennels. When we went to pick them up there was at least 3 days of stools and food in the kennel and it had obviously not been cleaned. The kennels didn’t even know who ADK9 were at times and also passed on our details to one potential customer. Our dogs even though they had been vaccinated got kennel cough and had to be treated just days after leaving the disgusting kennels. Completely horrible experience and our dogs also had lost their toilet training amongst other things they did well. Thankfully we have since got them back to normal.

Fantastic facilities and training

Fantastic facilities and training. I was a little concerned leaving my Dexter in kennels for the first time, but Nat kept me updated which made me feel at ease. Dex has been so well behaved since returning and the tutoring I received has meant that I’ve managed to maintain all the hard work Nat done.

We wanted a trained pet dog and found our perfect Fur Baby

We wanted a trained pet dog as we work full time and didn’t have time or the skills to train a puppy, and after many months of research came across ADK9 .... After meeting a few dogs and discussion with our nominated trainer Lucy, we settled on an 8 month cocker spaniel called Blue. I will start by saying what an absolute sweetheart he is ! He hasn’t put a paw wrong at all since he came home x. His heel work is fab, he loves to play fetch and his recall is just amazing !! He comes back instantly 100% of the time on the first call and sits on my feet for a fuss. He is brilliant off the lead, never far from my side and is friendly with other dogs ... he goes and has a sniff and actually is more interested in getting a fuss from the owner :) He is wonderful with my children and behaves perfectly for them as wellWe get compliments on his excellent behaviour from other dog walkers who are amazed he’s only 8 months old and still a puppy. He is our dream dog and perfect in every way. I can t thank you enough for our fantastic fur baby xx. You have done such a wonderful job xxxx. Now to persuade my husband that Blue needs a friend 😄Cannot recommend ADK9 enough .... they were patient and diligent. Lucy was just fantastic, keeping us updated with pics and videos of his progress throughout his training. We were able to visit Blue and take him for walks as often as we liked so we could bond with him. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to ADK9 if we decide to get Blue a companion. Thank you so much Lucy and the ADK9 team xxx

German Shepherd

I found the dog training service for our German Shephard excellent. Mina Andrews worked exceptionally hard with our dog, building a strong bond and completely resolving her behaviour issues. She is now a delight to take for walks and very obedient. Well done Mina!

Our dog Eddie

Our dog Eddie spent a total of three weeks with ADK9, Chesterfield. He went in an aggressive, fearful little dog who could not be out with other dogs, without wanting to rip their ears off and would not be around other people without being aggressive. This was all after an incident at a charity for adults with learning difficulties that we volunteer for where one of the clients stamped on his lead as he ran by and it hurt his neck. It was put down to fear. We didn't know what to do. We found ADK9 on the internet. We gave them a call and booked him. After the first couple of days I received an email from his trainer Jess with a picture of him happy and sat with her. This really eased my worries and from then on I looked forward to receiving updates as I knew he would progress and that he was in very good hands. I collected him today (20-8-17). Jess made sure she showed me how he had progressed and took the time to make sure I knew what I needed to know to carry the training into practice at home. I cannot thank Jess enough, she has turned our much loved little dog into a well behaved little dog with social manners. I took him on a one mile walk and other than a few slip ups he behaved impeccably. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This really was money well spent. Well done Jess and ADK9. Lady was with ADk9 for 1 week

Lady was with ADk9 for 1 week. When she arrived there she was almost impossible to walk as she pulled so much, she had no recall at all. Since being home she no longer drags me up the road although she does like to walk a bit ahead but I can cope with that. We took her to the park today for the 1st time since her being home which is about 1 month and although I kept her on a long training lead her recall was still as good as when we got her home.I am so grateful for the service her trainer Mina gave with daily pics and videos and constant progress updates. Mina also still stays in touch to see how things are going and to offer us further advice.A big thanks to Mina and ADK9 Berkshire.

Superb - my "Dog aggressive" rescue GSD no longer needs to be muzzled!

I got a 4 year old "rescue" GSD in March 2016 who was really dog aggressive and had no "manners" at all. I was used to "training GSD's" from a very early age, my father was a GSD dog handler and we used to breed them, and I have "rescued" a number of them previously. However; I couldn't get the dog aggression out of this dog at all. I used to have to muzzle her everywhere we went and she would even pull me over if we were out to "get" to another dog to attack it. I was at my wits end and had even thought of re-homing my dog; I couldn't even walk her down the street without incident! I considered using a dog behaviourist but the ones local to me charge more money overall than a week's fee at ADK9. In addition; my daughter's spaniel was not cured after 8 sessions with the behaviourist and they were expected to provide "constant input" . The spaniel was still dog aggressive after the 8 weeks and having paid upfront for something which didn't work, my daughter was told "there is nothing they could do" ...she "probably didn't put in enough work herself". After speaking to Craig who was confident they could probably help, I thought my dog deserved "one last chance". My dog was at ADK9 for 9 days in November 2016 and is totally transformed! I was able to take her on "play dates" with other dogs as soon as we got back home. We have no "dog aggression" issues anymore! People don't believe she is the same dog! Our sincere thanks to all the team, especially Xander who not only ensured that my dog got her specialist dietary requirements she is on, but also sent me regular update texts and photos of my "girl" whilst she was at the facility. I had to go away for a week mid Jan 2017 and couldn't take the dog with me. My first thought was "ADK9 will give her mental simulation and extra training". Boarding kennels are called that for a reason! It was lovely to see my "girl" excited to be back there when we went back to the facility. She clearly remembered Xander who was her trainer both times. I am SO thrilled at what they did for my dog that I whenever I need to go away in future, I will definitely pay the little bit extra to ensure that she never sits "bored" in "boarding kennels" again! To me it is an investment in my dog; she is evidently happy there, is well looked after, I get regular updates, have the benefit of support from them if I ever need it; the extra training will never go amiss either!

training of frank an excited bull breed

Absolutely amazing services, frank arrived a very excitable dog who was easily distracted. The intense training given for the week has resulted in a lot calmer dog, walks to heal and listens better to instructions. We were given an excellent handover which will allow us to continue his training.Thank you to everyone

Dog training

I can't thank Craig and Amy enough for the fantastic transformation of our dog Oscar, after reading a couple of reviews left on here I was nervous about leaving Oscar, but with the care and training he has had with Amy, he is a reformed character, no pulling on his lead, now walks to heel perfectly, his fear aggression of other dogs has calmed down to where he now he avoids eye contact with them, we received daily contact from Amy updating up with texts and photos throughout his stay, since he's come home after two weeks training at ADK9 he's is also a lot calmer in the house too. I can highly recommend this company for the friendly service and great care they took of Oscar.
