I got a small AK Northern Lights unit to help with my wintertime circadian dysruption. The first unit developed a touchy power connection after a couple of months. I called to see if they would repair the unit, and because it was still fairly new, they just replaced it within 3 days! The unit they sent also had some glitch and I emailed again thinking this time for sure I would have to await a repair. Not so! These folks take their warranty VERY SERIOUSLY and just replaced the unit again, but did want to examine it for quality control. That replacement has been flawless ever since and has definitely helped improve my dark season sleep pattern. Good medical grade product, by an honest reliable company. So rare these days!
I have purchased 3 different products from Alaska Northern Lights over the past 25 years. My 1st box light still works; I wanted a portable light, too. I also bought one as a gift. The workmanship on these lights is incredible. They are sturdy and long-lasting—even through 3 house moves! They are a little more expensive than some SAD lights that are available, but I love the durability and I know they are worth it. The company staff is also helpful. When I got my first light box, I needed some guidance and the woman I spoke to advised me well.
I bought the Aurora Lightpad this fall at the recommendation from a friend's therapist. I have been very pleased. It is easy to use and small enough to travel with if needed. I definitely felt better each time I used it! I have recommended this brand to friends!
This light works beautifully. I had a circadian rhythm which was all messed up after years of shift work, and after using this light for several weeks, my circadian rhythm returned, and I was able to stop sleep medication. It has made a huge difference in my life.
