I recently passed my driving test and I honestly couldn’t have done it without Jay from Alert Driving School. From my very first lesson, he made me feel comfortable and never made me feel silly for getting things wrong.
Jay explains everything in a really clear and calm way, so even when I was nervous or stressed, he’d break things down step by step until I understood. He’s patient, supportive, and actually cares about you becoming a safe driver not just passing the test. If I made a mistake, he’d talk it through properly instead of just telling me off, which really helped my confidence.
I’d 100% recommend Jay to anyone looking to learn. He’s reliable, professional, and makes lessons enjoyable while still pushing you to improve. Thank you again for helping me pass!! Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor 😆

Biggest thank you to Jay who has gone above and beyond to ensure this victory of passing my driving test. I thank God for His life because He’s not just an instructor but he also becomes an honest friend, from instructions to the talks, the chat and most of all the realness he bring to every lesson. He taught my dad, my sister and myself and we all passed with minimal driving faults all because of Him. He doesn’t just teach you to pass a test, He gives you the tools to drive in the real world and no get pushed around. BOOK HIM WHILE YOU CAN!
Jay is an excellent driving instructor!! I had a great time in all my lessons and despite them being 2 hours at times they flew by since they were so enjoyable! He is a great teacher and explains things so simply and provides you with great ways to remember key parts of driving. Additionally he is a very thorough teacher helping you to understand each of your weaknesses, when doing a mock test he will go through each and every fault in immense detail with diagrams. He also sends videos of difficult parts of driving and will demo any question you have.
I honestly can’t recommend Alert Driving School enough. I’ve known Jay for a couple of years from looking after his twins, so when it came time for me to start driving lessons, choosing him was an easy decision, and I’m so glad I did. Jay is an amazing instructor. From day one he made me feel relaxed and confident, and we had plenty of laughs along the way. He explains everything clearly, and he made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.One thing I really appreciated was how flexible and accommodating he was with lessons. No matter how busy things got, he always managed to work around my schedule and make sure I was getting the time I needed behind the wheel.One of the best things about Jay is the way he explains things. He doesn’t just tell you what to do, he breaks it down in a way that actually makes sense, even when you feel like you’re overthinking everything. If I was struggling with something, he never rushed me or made me feel silly. He’d calmly go over it again, try a different way of explaining it, or show me a little trick to help it click. You can tell he genuinely cares about you understanding what you’re doing.Thanks to him, I went into my test today confident and prepared and as a result passed with 0 driving faults!! Truly one of the best driving instructors there is, helped me improve on all my faults with care and patience never got angry always calm, respectful and reassuring which ended up in me passing my driving test first time. Jay has taught me and four of my family members and helped all of us pass. He is very patient, provides clear instruction and guidance. It has been a real joy to learn with him.
