From the 1st phone call to the last, but gentleman, was helpful. David that came out to do the job, left the place very clean and tidy and sorted the problem the blockage of the drains.
The next day had a follow up call to see if very thing ok

Deon came out to us on an evening call out, to look at our boiler that was playing up. He phoned me to let me know his ETA, very polite and knowledgeable, diagnosing the problem almost immediately following just a few questions over the phone. He arrived at the exact time he said he would, again polite and very knowledgeable in person and managed to get to the bottom of the issue within minutes. I booked through an advertised local website (Huddersfield Drainage Services) with a local number.
It was never made clear that this is a different company that are just booking agents and the work promised isn’t what is agreed with the sub contractor company.
I originally was charged £180 for an emergency call out, 24/7 agent on hand to support by phone, price quoted also included pipe inspection of the property, jet washing all pipes etc. with a commitment to getting “their local” engineer to me within three hours. Any parts required would be paid at cost by myself and there was an additional fee to be paid after the work is completed.
After making the initial payment I was then told this was non refundable and subsequently received an email from a different company (AHR 24/7) which turned out to be the real company.
A WhatsApp message followed with conflicting information that the callout would be upto 6 hours not the 3 w that I had been promised and paid £60 extra for.
The sub contractor arrived over 5 hours after the booking as they were not local and in Blackpool when the job came through (were in Yorkshire) and cleared the blockage but none of the other work that I was led to believe would be carried out, was included.
I was also ghosted on the night by AHR 24/7 as no phone calls were answered which also failed their service level promise.
I was contacted today by Annie who was very helpful and has processed a refund of £60 which was the emergency call out fee as this wasn’t in line with our verbal contract of sale. However, despite her request internally the business refused to offer a partial refund to cover the miss sold promises of preventative maintenance, that I was led to believe was included based upon their agents commitment prior to booking.
So all in all it has cost me £120 for a 15 minute call where they offloaded the work. Which seems hugely excessive and very different to the described service.
I only booked as I thought it was a local company that included services that unfortunately I didn’t get.
I’d advise to book direct with a local company and double check it’s not an agent fronting as a local specialist.

I discovered this service through a recommendation and was taken aback when I was billed £120 upfront by card for an initial visit, which seemed excessive for what they claimed to be a local service. To ensure our tenant received prompt assistance for her bathroom toilet issue, I made the payment, and the plumber arrived a few hours later. However, he then asked her for an additional £150! He even called me using her phone, trying to persuade me to agree to an £800 toilet replacement on the spot! Later, I received a call from the office demanding another £120! This was for NO actual work done and just a brief visit of around 15 minutes. I raised my concerns with the recommendation service, as this company did not inspire trust with their aggressive sales tactics.
The call was answered promptly and professionally on a Sunday. A local plumber was arranged, and I was informed of the arrival time and cost before he came. The entire process was smooth. The plumber arrived on time, resolved the issue, and left. I would definitely recommend this service for emergencies.

I experienced really quick service. After my boiler broke down, I called them, and they arrived within an hour. After assessing my boiler, which was beyond repair, they arranged for a new installation the following day. Unbelievable service!
