Review Time
This is an appalling company. They take your first years subscription. I cancelled after a few months. Then they take $99 out of my account for the next year. Sending emails to them has no effect, they never reply. Sending messages on their website gets no reply. I have filled in a U.K. form for my bank to dispute this renewed subscription and get my money back. The strange thing is, the share advice seems not bad, it’s all technical accounting. The head honcho lectures aft places like Harvard and must only be concerned with cash in the millions. What’s he doing fiddling a few dollars off each subscriber and pissing them off so that they cancel. Does he know what his minions are doing?I put his fiddling on the website Quora to lose him some more customers. The guy is either stupid or doesn’t know what’s happening.
READ THEIR TERMS OF SERVICE FIRSTAny reputable firm offering a 30 day trial would refund a client's money no questions asked. This is NOT the case with this company. In their extraordinarily long terms of service agreement, this fact can be dissected. They also claim institutional clients pay $100K per month for their research. I have worked with institutional clients on Wall Street for 20 years and have never heard of this firm and such claims are rubbish. Avoid.
Unfortunately ALTIMETRY.COM are scammers. Their billing system locks you in to repeat regular billing that you can't escape from.Contacting them repeatedly to request an end to your subscription is futile and met with NO RESPONSE at all. As you use a contact form on their website to contact them, you have no proof that you did in fact contact them because you don't have a dated copy of the email. You will need to contact your bank or credit card company to have these unauthorized automatic withdrawals stopped and refunded. (Altimetry, 110 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02141)The fact that ALTIMETRY.COM / JOEL LITMAN had to scam me for $133 per month should give you an idea of how reputable their service is. My advice is to STAY AWAY from ALTIMETRY.COM.
Fraud? Charged 2500$ membership renewal fee despite membership having been canceled. Didn’t get a confirmation email of membership cancelation. Customer support doesn’t answer repeated emails.Joel Litman is in on this since he doesn’t acknowledge or respond on Twitter.
