After considering this procedure for close to 4 years, or as long as I can remember, I can honestly say it is one of the best things I have ever done. Professor Mahajan was very attentive and understood my concerns, he carefully explained the procedure and I instantly felt in safe and capable hands . From the very first consultation I had no doubts about proceeding with this surgery as everything was explained so clearly, and I was instantly confident I had made the right decision. There was two reasons I delayed this surgery for so long : 1. Embarrassment of having to address my biggest insecurity2. Fear of how hard the recovery process would beIf you are someone reading with similar thoughts please read the rest of this post :1. Whilst it can feel embarrassing to have to share something so personal, the second I spoke about this I felt a wave of relief. Professor Mahajan reminded me that he is very experienced in this procedure, and just know that you are not the first person and certainly won’t be the last to visit for the same reason. For me, a few visits of feeling a little bit out of my comfort zone, are nothing in comparison to a new lifetime of confidence I have now gained, and I am so, SO, glad I didn’t let the initial fear put me off. I will never look back and haven’t done since. My only regret is not doing this all them years ago.1. From reading experiences elsewhere online, I was nervous about the recovery process. Whilst there are obviously risks with any procedure, the surgery and the recovery was no where near as bad as I had imagined. On the day, I was greeted by the professor and the fantastic nurses, they were all so kind and professional and it really put me at ease. They played some music and we chatted the whole way through. I can’t express how much all of their kindness made this experience so positive for me. After arriving, I was leaving 2 hours later and have never felt so much relief.The first few days post op were uncomfortable at the most, there was a little swelling and bruising as expected but by day 5 I was resuming some light household activity. I am now 12 weeks post op, and I have resumed everything as normal. I can run, swim, walk my dog, and live my life the way it was before, but with so much extra confidence.For anyone considering doing this, please don’t let the fear stop you and just know that the team are here to support you and make you comfortable throughout the process. My whole experience has been fantastic from start to finish. Professor Mahajan was professional, talking through the treatment options, explaining the pros and cons. Talked me through the procedure during the initial consultation. He made sure that I was having the procedure for the right reasons. Booking the procedure was easy, and the operation took place just a few weeks laterThe operation itself was completed in theatre under local anaesthetic. I was worried about the injections, however I was given constant reassurance and everything was explained as we went along.There was music playing in the background the whole time, and the atmosphere was relaxed and good humoured. I was able to ask questions and could even look at what was going to happen. I was relaxed the whole time, and the whole procedure was painless.Once the operation was completed, I was given aftercare advice and follow up appointments. I was provided with contact numbers if I had any questions or any issues, which I didn'tThe healing process went well, and I had no pain in my face. I was back to work within a weekI am now three months in, and I have to say the results are fantastic. The scarring is minimal and cannot be seen as it is well hidden under the hairlineI cannot praise Professor Mahajan and his nurses enough
I wanted to share my experience having labiaplasty surgery with Dr. Mahajan at Evolve Medical clinic in Leeds, as I know how nerve-wracking it can be to research this procedure and find the right surgeon.Initial ConsultationFrom the very first consultation, Dr. Mahajan put me completely at ease. His approach was both friendly and thoroughly professional - he took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions without making me feel embarrassed, and never rushed the appointment. I felt genuinely listened to and understood, which meant everything when discussing such a personal procedure.Surgery DayI'll be honest - I was quite apprehensive about being awake during the procedure. The anaesthetic injections were very uncomfortable initially, but Dr. Mahajan and his team were incredibly reassuring throughout. Once the local anaesthetic took effect, the procedure itself was surprisingly comfortable, at times when I felt a slight pinch more anaesthesia was injected. I felt very relaxed throughout.The nurses and team at Evolve deserve a special mention - they were absolutely wonderful. So caring and supportive from the moment I arrived until I was settled in the recovery room. Their kindness and professionalism made such a difference to my experience.Recovery ProcessThe first few weeks post-surgery were challenging, I won't sugarcoat it! There was significant swelling and I was quite uncomfortable, but paracetamol helped take the edge off the discomfort along with taking things very easy.Practical recovery details:• I wore sanitary pads for around 6 days post-surgery as there is a fair amount of spotting during this time• Toileting required extra care - I used a water bottle spray and very gently dabbed dry with wet tissues - this careful routine continued for about 4-5 weeks• After removing the pads, I was most comfortable in some comfy baggy trousers with no underwear for 4 weeks (the underwear seemed to rub a little too much)• I could walk around the house immediately and managed gentle walks outside within the first week• I returned to work after 2 weeks (I'd definitely recommend taking the full 2 weeks off work or any activities)• Sitting for long periods remained uncomfortable for 4-5 weeks, but from the 4-week mark, each day got progressively better• I applied a bit of Vaseline from week 4 onwards to prevent clothes rubbing• The dissolvable stitches were completely gone by 4 weeks• I avoided strenuous exercise for 8 weeks and returned to all my normal activities (including biking and swimming) by week 10At my follow-up appointment, Dr. Mahajan showed me my before and after pictures, and I genuinely couldn't believe the transformation. The results exceeded all my expectations.Final ThoughtI am absolutely over the moon with my results and honestly cannot recommend Dr. Mahajan highly enough. From the initial consultation through to the surgery day and follow-up appointments, his care has been exceptional. But beyond his wonderful bedside manner, the actual surgical work is incredible.If you're considering this procedure and researching surgeons in the Leeds area, I would wholeheartedly recommend booking a consultation with Dr. Mahajan at Evolve Medical. The entire experience, while challenging during recovery, has been life-changing for me!
Breast revision procedure.I went to see Mr Mahajan for a consultation after looking for the best consultant plastic surgeon, all the reviews were fantastic and I knew after my first consultation that he would be amazing. I had an explant, capsulectomy and mastopexy (reduction and lift) and wow I can honestly say the results after 2 weeks are amazing I really do feel like a new woman inside and out. Also the pain has been very minimum. What I can say is Mr Mahajan is such a lovely kind caring man but also he is very professional and excellent at what he does, I would highly recommend him for any surgery as I would trust him 100%.
I am 3 months post surgery for upper and lower eye surgery by Prof. Mahajan at the Yorkshire Clinic.My entire experience at the clinic was faultless from Nicola Mr Mahajan’s secretary who was so helpful to the nursing staff who looked after me so well especially after surgery (Martha & Naseem).Mr Mahajan is a lovely man who made me feel at ease from the first consultation where he advised me to think about the surgery before booking it. His patience in seeing me when I had any concerns post surgery he never once made me feel it was inconvenient. He is such an approachable consultant and I am so pleased with the results. He is a most skilful plastic surgeon who comes highly recommended.
I went for a consultation with Professor Mahajan as I was looking at having a mini facelift. On meeting the Professor I was put at ease and had everything explained to me regarding the sort of outcome I could expect. I had jowls and a crepey skin on my neck which I hated. On consultation the professor advised me to have liposuction on my neck to get the best results from my procedure.On the 29th January I went to Evolve Medical for my procedure. I was met by Jay who was the nurse who would be with me throughout my operation. Jay was fantastic very caring and made me feel at ease the whole time. I was shown to the theatre where I was given a gown and then had my anesthetic which was a bit uncomfortable but not unbearable My liposuction was done first which was not painful just a noise from the suction and then my procedure began and all was good with regular top ups of anesthetic throughout to stop any pain. Approximately four hours later I was sat up and had my face bandaged.My recovery has been good and the stitches dissolved in around two weeks. The bruising and swelling started to subside in around six weeks. I now have a jawline and a more youthful look and can honestly say that I do not regret going through with this. Professor Mahajan is fantastic and I would not hesitate to go back to him for another procedure. All the staff at Evolve are really lovely, Jay who put me at ease throughout and Rachel who gave me her professional advice.
My mini face lift with Professor Mahajan went very well. I was nervous of being awake during the operation but didn't feel a thing after the anaesthetic had been put in (that was painful but quick!). Prof Mahajan was calm and professional throughout and the staff at Evolve Medical clinic were all kind and supportive. The first couple of days after the operation were a bit uncomfortable as I had to wear a headband to keep my bandage on and also sleep propped up but there was little pain apart from a stiff neck, some bruising and a black eye. Two weeks later the bruises had gone and the scars were healing nicely. I am delighted with the results. My jawline is smooth and tight, my neck is tighter and my cheeks are lifted and lines around my nose and mouth have been smoothed out. I have had two follow up meetings with Prof Mahajan personally and Evolve Medical were available to talk to if I had any concerns. I have no hesitation in recommending Prof Mahajan to anyone wishing to improve their appearance. His care and attention and expertise were exceptional.
Professor Ajax Mahajan is an outstanding surgeon and gave me results which was unattainable, or so I thought.I had a midi facelift with liposuction of the neck procedure because of weight loss my face, neck and jowls had dropped significantly and to me looked unsightly which affected my confidence negatively.After researching cosmetic surgeons for at lease six months and having consultations Mr Mahajan was head and shoulders above any others I’d seen as he is very personable and equally professional and there is no hard sell just an honest outcome on the results to be achieved.On the day of surgery I was very nervous but the team are so warm and friendly that I became at ease.I opted to be awake for my surgery and I can honestly say the pain during the procedure was minimal and surprisingly felt like the time taken was relatively quick even the we went over the planned surgery time as Mr Mahajan is meticulous and would not be rushed. During surgery his assistant was amazing and held my hand and offered words of comfort and gave updates where we were at, also a very funny lady which had me laughing out loud.I am now 8 months post op and the results are fabulous and I have regained my confidence so instead of shying away from situations I now find myself at the forefront.I would recommend Mr Mahajan in a heartbeat and have recommended to many people already. I will be back for further surgery in the future (Not for the face) without hesitation as he is the best of the best there is today.
ARM LIFT SURGERY.I had noticed over the last few years that the elasticity on my inner arms was getting worse & this had started to bother me. A friend recommended Professor Ajay Mahajan to me as an exceptional surgeon & assured me I’d be in safe hands. I read his reviews on Trustpilot which were all extremely positive so I made an appointment to see him.The appointment was in a very relaxed environment, Prof. Mahajan was very reassuring & informative so I came away feeling very confident that I was indeed in very safe hands.The surgery was pretty much pain free & I had no issues at all. I was given all the relevant information on how to look after my arms & told to get in touch with the surgery immediately if I needed any assistance or help at all. The after care service & nurses that assisted with my dressings & any questions I had were also very professional & friendly, nothing was too much trouble.I’m now 6 months post op & I can’t believe how well my arms are healing, yes there’s a scar but it really is flat, thin and is blending back in nicely!!I’m so pleased I had the operation done, my arms are firm again & I don’t see the issues that bothered me before when I now look in the mirror every morning!!I can fully recommend Professor Ajay Mahajan, he’s a lovely man & an exceptional surgeon.Cheers Tim.
I am over the moon with my whole experience with professor Mahajan, The Yorkshire Clinic and all the wonderful staff who helped in the process. I had heard amazing things about Mr Mahajan so knew I would be in good hands, but I cannot put into words how incredible my results are from my breast augmentation. No question was too silly, any queries I had his secretary Nicola was so prompt and informative. I had never had general anaesthetic before or had any surgery prior to this, all staff members involved in the day were extremely caring, attentive and knowledgeable. Mr Mahajan honestly has changed my life and has given me self-confidence I’ve never had. He has truly exceeded my expectations, I highly recommend.
