I recently underwent an abdominoplasty with liposuction and bilateral breast reduction performed by Prof. Mahajan – also known as the ‘Mommy Makeover’. The size and weight of my breasts had caused me extensive problems for many years. Steroid injections and physiotherapy did not help my shoulder pain, so I began researching into a breast reduction and the benefits of this type of surgery. I met with Prof. Mahajan for a consultation after researching about breast surgery and found that he was at the top of the list for recommended surgeons in my area. I was impressed by his expertise and as soon as I had begun talking with him, I knew he was the right surgeon for me. Prof. Mahajan was professional, friendly, and really took the time to explain everything to me thoroughly and in a way I would understand. He spoke about the benefits and risks and really personalised the consultation to me. After examining me, Prof. Mahajan explained he thought I would also benefit from an abdominoplasty with liposuction as well as a breast reduction, to feel and see the full effect of the surgery and to ensure my body was in proportion. He explained he would be happy to perform the breast reduction alone and allowed me to go away and think about the options he had given me. I had never had surgery before but did not feel nervous until the day of the operation as Prof. Mahajan and his secretary Nicola put me at such ease and were always available to call and ask any questions I had. Following the surgery, Prof. Mahajan reviewed me twice whilst in hospital. I am in awe of the neatness and precision of his work, and I am so happy with the results of the incisions. I cried with happiness when he first revealed my body post-op and now at 1-month post-op I cannot believe how well I am healing. I am already driving again, I am back at university and I could shower and sleep in any position from 2 weeks post-op.From my consultation through to my aftercare, Prof. Mahajan and his team at the Yorkshire Clinic have been incredible. I am so grateful to Prof. Mahajan for changing my life. My shoulder pain has already completely gone, I feel confident although I am still recovering and have some expected abdominal swelling, and I felt as though he understood my wishes as a patient from beginning to end. Eyelid surgeryI’m a bit late in posting this recommendation, but in October 22, Professor Ajay Mahajan removed the excess "hooded" skin from my eyes under local anaesthetic. I was apprehensive as my pain threshold is nil, and although at times it was uncomfortable, it was nowhere near as bad as I though it would be and I was in and out within an hour. I am so happy with the results and I can’t believe the difference this procedure has made. I actually have eye lids now and wide-awake eyes, they feel amazing and I feel more confident. The scarring healed very quickly and six months in, the scarring has disappeared.I would, without a doubt, recommend Professor Mahajan, he is extremely professional, he explained the procedure in so much detail that there weren’t many questions for me to ask after I had had the consultation. Both he, and his team at Evolve are so caring, friendly, and fun, yes fun – they definitely keep you entertained and distracted.Thank you.
I had a breast uplift procedure with implants. I was very anxious about the whole thing but decided to be brave as I disliked what I saw in the mirror. I am 54 years old and worried that I may not get the cosmetic result I was hoping for however with due diligence on my part and the skills of Professor Mahajan, the results have surpassed my expectations.Professor Mahajan and his team treated me with respect and I felt taken care of throughout the whole procedure. I am now 5 months following a chin implant and midi facelift. I am thrilled with the result!We all have different motivations to undertake something like this. Mine was motivated by a life-long dislike of my recessed chin. Which was then exacerbated by two thyroid surgeries that left me with a turkey neck at the age of 44. I spent 3+ years looking for the right surgeon to undertake this. I am SO glad I found Mr Majajan. Competent, understanding, insightful and honest about risks and benefits. I have the neck and jawline I wanted and I am no longer reminded of my thyroid cancer treatment each time I look in the mirror. Do listen the side effects and prepare yourself as recovery is a process.

6 months on from my surgery, I truly cannot express how much happier I am in my own skin. I cannot fault the experience I had under the care of Professor Mahajan, the process from start to finish really was 5*. I was a little anxious at first, but my worries quickly went away after my first consultation. I had wanted a reduction since I was 17 years old (now 24), so when I found AM Aesthetic Surgery I knew I had made the right decision. I had a reduction with liposuction, and lost almost 2kg. For reference I was a G/H cup- now I am a C/D! My shoulder and back pain has gone, my posture is better, and clothes fit so much nicer. I no longer feel the need to wear things that hide my chest, and I can even go braless without feeling self-conscious, which is something I never ever dreamt of. The scarring is neat and fading more and more by the day (I scar easily so I honestly expected the worst in terms or scarring), but the incisions were so thin, I have no doubt in another 6 months they will be barely noticeable. From the reviews online and a personal recommendation, I knew Professor Mahajan was a very skilled surgeon, but when it comes to your own skin of course there is a little bit of anxiety when faced with a surgery such as this. I truly did have nothing to worry about. Professor Mahajan is not only an outstanding surgeon and clearly extremely knowledgeable, but he also has a calm presence and a great sense of humor. His Practice Manager Nichola also provided second to none service, she was very informative and always friendly and helpful, which left me feeling nothing but confident going into the surgery despite my initial worry- she was an absolute star and is a credit to the team. My hospital stay was also great (Yorkshire Clinic), I was made comfortable the entire time and the nurses and hospital staff were extremely helpful, friendly and caring. The food was good too which is always a bonus! Having this surgery has genuinely changed my life, and I really would not hesitate in recommending AM Aesthetic Surgery to anyone. I am just over a week post cast removal after having a rhinoplasty and I can honestly say that I am so happy. I am a way off seeing the results due to the swelling that occurs as part of the healing process, but already there is such a huge difference.This is something I have been wanting to do for so many years and I honestly did not think I would ever have the courage to go through with it, but after my appointment with Dr Mahajan he put me at ease and I just knew I was going to get it done as I walked out of his office. Dr Mahajan allowed me to say what was bothering me and then spoke honestly about what he believed he could achieve, he was just honest and I really appreciated that. I really like how he focuses not just on the nose but on the whole face itself to make sure that the changes he makes fits in with everything else seamlessly. Also a big shout out to Spire Elland too, all the staff were so lovely and helped me to stay calm when I was feeling nervous and kept the mood very light and fun. Nothing was too much for the nursing staff.The whole journey has been great and very professional, Dr Mahajan has changed my life and I cannot thank him enough. This is a review of my lipoabdominalplasty procedure carried out by prof AJ MahajanI have my initial consultation with Mr Mahajan on the 4 July 2022. The meeting was detailed and photos were taken ,my expectations and hopes were outlined to Mr Mahajan who gave me his honest and experienced decision based on all his medical and surgical knowledge on whether the outcome would be possible.I then received a letter a week later to say it would be possible to go down the green pathway to surgery but it would be helpful to lose a few pounds for a better result and if I consent to surgery and am within a healthy bmi & refrained from smoking I could go on the waiting list .I contacted Mr Mahajan's secretary and after a conversation I was not only put on the waiting list but also a cancellation list too .Four weeks later I was contacted to see if I was available for surgery in two weeks time to which I was over the moon about and my surgery date was confirmed .I then attended for pre op appointments and blood test etc.My surgery from consultation to the date was just 6 weeks I was so lucky to be in on the 22nd Aug 2022.On the day of surgery o had to arrive at the Yorkshire Clinic at 7am ,I was checked in and taken up to my suite and prepared for surgery and filled in the relevant paperwork. Mr Mahajan came to see me and told me what to expect and we had a brief chat which I thought was nice and put me at ease . I was the first surgery of the day and was taken down to anaesthetic department at 8-15am .The last thing I remember was about 8:30 having the injection !When I woke up it was 1:50 on the afternoon i was back in my suite wondering where the day had gone . I felt sick from the anaesthetic and woozy from the operation the nurses around me were fantastic and talked to me about how I was feeling ,I was in pain but managed well with codiene and paracetamols.The first night I slept on and off . I had a catheter in so didn't need to get up to the toilet .The second day in the afternoon my husband and children could visit me .I was encouraged to get out of bed and go to the toilet myself (once the catheter was removed)I had blood bags in place either side but slowly managed . I was also encouraged to sit in a chair which I did at meal times .Pain wise I was very swollen and felt "tight" the corset I had on was digging in a bit but on the whole I felt well .Mr Mahajan came to see me and told me the surgery had gone well and that I was down for a long time but he was confident with the results - he then gave me a sneak peek at my tummy and I was absolutely amazed and overwhelmed and really happy .I was due to go home in day 4 but my blood bag on one side was still a bit full so I did stay in an extra night as a precaution but I was happy with this decision .By Friday afternoon when I was leaving I was much more comfortable I had had a shower myself and washed my hair I had been walking around my room not only many painkillers and stopped the codiene . I felt ok to go home .I spent a week in bed just up and down for essentials then week 2 I did light jobs but from week 3 I was driving and back shopping with help .My aftercare was excellent I saw Mr Mahajan for 5 weeks to have my seroma drained then again after 3 months and again after 5 before being confidently discharged .I am absolutely over the moon I made the decision to have this operation it truly has changed my life my confidence my clothes and my outlook on life .I would highly recommend Mr Mahajan not only is he an experienced professor of surgery and knows his stuff but he is a lovely caring man than wants the best outcome and really listens.I had read many testimonials on forums and articles about tummy tuck surgery over the years and the time thought the recovery would be horrendous and hard work with 2 young children but I am amazed at how easy it was afterwards , luckily I have had no issues with my scar and have healed well .This is my own honest account of my surgeon,procedure and nursing care and hope it helps anyone considering this surgery in the future Emma
The consultation was very good. I knew I was in good hands. The surgery went very well. Was in hospital for 6 days. Was treated very well. Scar is healing quickly, very pleased with the surgery. After care is very good also. Highly recommend Mr Mahajan.
My experience with Professor Mahajan couldn't have been any better! From the second I sat down in my consultation to my last follow up appointment I have been beaming from ear to ear. This is my first ever surgery so I was apprehensive about staying in hospital and the result of the surgery, Professor Mahajan couldn't have done a better job. My life has changed and I am so thankful for his services! I would recommend him to everyone who is thinking about having surgery in his field of work.
