Samir planned a wonderful trip for us! He was great in planning, with great suggestions and listened to our feedback. He even met with us in marakesh before we hooked up with our guide and driver. Zachariah was a wonderful guide for us. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Morocco. By the end of the week it was like a friend showing us around his beloved country! The accommodations were wonderful. The food was authentic and plentiful. The Sahara camp with camel ride was a highlight for us. Thank you for a fabulous vacation! Thank you Samir and Zak for a wonderful tour of Marrakech!As I booked last minute, Samir wasn't available anymore but his brother Zakaria, who also is a guide, made time to take me on a 3-hour solo tour of the Medina. We visited the stunning Dar El Bacha Museum and took a walk along the old Medina Streets. Zak was wonderful, friendly and open-minded, with a very fluent English to answer my many questions about the culture and lifestyle in Marrakech. I had a very unique opportunity to experience the bustling city life more as a friend than a tourist. I rate my visit to Marrakech the best solo trip I ever did thanks to the kindness of the local people and the wealth of culture and planning my next visit already.

Samir was very accomodating to create a bespoke and authentic experience for us; things we would never get to experience on our own or with a big tour agency. He has great attention to detail and we admire his philosophy in providing a genuine local experience and supporting the local communities. We wished we could have stayed longer.
We just returned from a 9 day trip to Morocco for our family of 6 entirely planned and executed by Samir. We cannot say enough heartfelt positive, out of this world things about Samir. Samir is thorough, creative, kind, professional, and trustworthy with an extreme attention to detail. From start to finish, he took care of every detail and guided us through it all. The entire adventure felt like a good friend was lovingly showing us his home. Trip planning: Samir was highly responsive and paid close attention to our requests. His communication was quick and efficient and his English and French are impeccable. He had spot-on ideas for our family but was flexible if we wanted to change course. He was collaborative but also provided his experienced opinion where needed (quite often!). He is receptive to understanding preferences so your time is well spent explaining to him what you are looking for! He planned our extensive trip with care and attention to detail in no time at all. He built a dream itinerary for us with hotels, activities, meals, and transport. Arrival and Travel tours: Samir was waiting for us when we arrived in Marrakesh with a warm smile, a basket of treats and snacks, and transport to our first destination. He is infinitely knowledgeable and has a wide network of local experts to deliver the most informed, local touch possible. We learned and experienced so much through the eyes of these excellent guides. Hotels: In accordance with our budget and expressed interests, Samir selected perfect hotels for us. We experienced a local and native feel mixed with immense luxury in every lodging. Each "pearl" hotel had its own unique special touches. Activities: Samir kept us busy so that we we experienced so much of Morocco in the short time we were there. In our 4 childrens' own words, each activity was better than the one before it. From the fascinating sightseeing tours in Marrakesh and Essouira to the food tours, the hot air balloon ride at sunrise, the desert camp ATV and camel fun, and the surf lesson, Samir delivered a balance of educational tours with just plain awesome fun. Food: Samir arranged the most adventurous food tours and restaurants for us. We were able to enjoy the local cuisine but also with a nice balance of some more familiar foods. Every restaurant and food experience he selected for us was perfection. Personal Touch: We could not ask for any more than the care and attention that Samir provided on our trip. Every transport, every meal reservation, every single detail was deliberately and thoughtfully prepared and taken care of. He was dedicated to our trip being a success. The result was a truly magical adventure that our family will treasure forever.
"Great" doesn't even begin to describe my experience with Anmoon Travels! Our group travelled 14 days across Morocco guided by Samir and he made the trip an unforgettable experience. I loved his human-centered approach to the whole trip. He's personable, positive, and meets every group member where they are. He was so thorough and thoughtful in his organization, anticipation of logistics and overall facilitation of the trip, so that we could fully immerse ourselves in the culture, learn about the country, and enjoy our time.Samir has a passion for people and makes an effort to highlight the authentic stories and history of Moroccan culture. What I loved most is that he prioritizes supporting local artists, businesses, and especially women-owned businesses/co-ops. The most special memories I have are being welcomed into people's homes for group dinners which adds such a level of familiarity and connection that would be otherwise out-of-reach.Throughout the trip, Samir went above and beyond adding customized experiences that made sense for the group (like a special hike in the Todgha Gorge to meet a nomadic family) and individuals' priorities within the group (reserving a special dinner in Fes with an escort or setting up a visit to a wine bar because I love wine). He even went as far as making recommendations for activities and restaurants for my next country stop after Morocco. Better yet, he has great taste in food and quality of experience, so you never have to question whether he's going to get it right. By the end of the trip I was saying "whatever Samir says to do, I'll do it."All in all, Anmoon Travels is the perfect company to turn to if you're looking to explore Morocco for the first time or revisit to delve deeper and learn more (which I plan on doing asap!). Their team centers experiences in supporting local businesses and conveying the multifaceted diversity and beauty of the country.
Our adventure through Morocco was wonderful! Samir and I worked out an itinerary for our private tour very quickly and easily. He arranged excellent tour guides for each one of our stops and kept in touch with us via WhatsApp. I highly recommend having a guide with you in the big cities - they are crazy busy and you get to see and do so much more with a guide. Stay in riads whenever you can, they are so unique and interesting. You can stay in a Marriott anywhere, but riads - only in Morocco. Our driver, Mohamed, did a great job entertaining us and educating us in the ways and customs of Morocco. We were there during Ramadan and probably asked him 1,000 questions about Ramadan and Moroccan traditions (which he answered patiently) - so interesting! The only slight disadvantage to being in country during Ramadan is that some of the local restaurants are closed during the day and shops don't open until about midday. However, this did not impact our trip very much. Samir and Mohamed went above and beyond for us - Shukran (thanks)!

Samir and Anmoon Travels have done an incredible job helping me plan a long, 6-week solo trip to Morocco. Since I had been to the country before, I was very specific in how I wanted to experience it this time, and where I wanted to stay. Samir had worked closely with me to plan everything in a way that would not only make sense logistically, but that wouldn't be too exhausting, and allow me to enjoy everything to the highest extent possible.He was extremely helpful with his advice on places, and finding alternatives when it was necessary for various reasons. He had fantastic suggestions for restaurants, and his team handled all the reservations smoothly. Samir was also instrumental in suggesting wonderful experiences Morocco is known for. Whether it was visiting different artisans in Essaouira, arranging a hike in the beautiful Atlas Mountains, or a horseback ride on the beach, he handled it with utmost professionalism, knowledge and ease. His fluent English made things easy, and his extensive knowledge of the Moroccan culture made the whole trip very interesting. Considering I spent a whole month in Morocco on my previous trip, this was not an easy task. Overall, Samir made sure that my 6 weeks in Morocco were an unforgettable experience, full of cultural diversity, a huge variety of interesting experiences, delicious meals, luxurious riad stays, and fascinating and enriching encounters with local people, something I will cherish forever. Samir is a top flight guide for visitors to Morocco. His explanations of people, places, policies and culture were comprehensive without being overbearing.
