GLS Lost My Steam Deck Twice — Absolutely Unacceptable

Let me share my experience with GLS, because it’s not just bad — it’s absurd. GLS managed to lose two separate shipments of my Steam Deck OLED, and each time, their customer service was completely useless.📦 Attempt #1: Original Order LostMy Steam Deck was shipped from Valve’s distribution partner to Ireland via GLS. Everything looked fine at first — I got a tracking link, saw the parcel moving… then it vanished. No delivery, no final scan, no update. Just “in transit” forever. I contacted GLS, but it was impossible to get any real help. Their phone support was scripted and clueless, and emails went unanswered or received generic copy-paste replies.Eventually, Steam Support confirmed the parcel was lost. They apologized and offered to resend the entire order. I was frustrated, but at least I’d get the device eventually… or so I thought.📦 Attempt #2: Reshipment Also LostSteam Support sent a replacement unit, and unbelievably, it was also handed off to GLS again. I braced myself — and sure enough, the exact same thing happened. The tracking showed the parcel in transit for several days with no updates, then it stalled and disappeared completely. Two brand-new Steam Decks, both lost by the same courier, in the same country, under the same circumstances. At this point, it’s hard not to believe their logistics system is broken, or worse, unreliable to the point of negligence.🚫 GLS Support = No SupportBoth times, GLS offered no investigation, no resolution, and no accountability. They didn’t care that the item was expensive. They didn’t take responsibility. In both cases, I had to rely on Valve/Steam to fix their mess.😤 The Bottom LineGLS has now lost two high-value packages, and I still don’t have my Steam Deck. I’m currently waiting on a third shipment, praying that Steam chooses a better courier like DHL or DPD. I’ve asked Steam to avoid GLS going forward — anything else would be better. If you’re a company shipping valuable tech — do not use GLS.If you’re a customer and you see “GLS” on your tracking number, prepare for stress, delays, and possibly never receiving your item.

Parcel not delivered and lies to customer

A parcel was due yesterday but was not delivered. I contacted the customer service but no delivery yet, despite the fact that the customer service told me that it would be delivered today by 6pm. It's clearly a lie which I don't need and demonstrate a very poor customer service. The delivery is urgent and I let them know, but since the parcel has not been delivered it's clear that they don't care. No need to tell lies to customers, facts are that they are not doing their job.Update: still not delivered despite several phonecalls, as today's date (10 July) Gls is not able to confirm that the parcel will be delivered today, while yesterday they told me that it would be delivered today. Another lie, pretending that customers don't see things. I have already flagged to the store where I placed the order not to use Gls again for my future orders with them, other will follow.Second update: another lie yesterday as the parcel was not delivered today. I don't expect it tomorrow either and I will take the appropriate action against Gls for their negligence. I phoned them just now to ask again despite the fact that they told me they would call me. Another of their lies. The customer agent also put the phone down on me, cutting the conversation. There is nothing reassuring in hearing that an issue has been escalated if nothing is solved. Third update: two more phone calls, again I was told that the parcel would be delivered today but at 11:44 they updated the tracking system saying that they tried to deliver it but no one was at home. There were two people at the front and cctv at home shows that no-one came. As the parcel is stored with them I called them again to ask them to deliver it. After today, I'm going to escalate the issue: it took a week for that parcel to arrive in Ireland from Italy and more than a week to deliver it few kms away from where they are. Never seen such a level of poor customer attention
