I cannot say enough wonderful things about this animal hospital and the team that saved my dog, Albus. He recently underwent a very dangerous surgery, and every single staff member was incredibly attentive, loving, and caring. They were always available to provide updates, which meant everything to me during such a stressful time.
For many years, different veterinarians advised me not to remove the lipoma under his front leg because of how risky the location was — surrounded by nerves, muscles, and ligaments — with the possibility that he might not be able to walk afterward. Recently, it grew so large that Albus stopped walking altogether. When I finally scheduled a surgical consult, the lipoma actually burst, and I had to rush him in as an emergency. The surgical team took him immediately and performed the surgery.
Today, Albus is walking, moving, and happy again. He is almost 12 years old, so I was extremely worried about anesthesia and recovery, but everything went smoothly. I am beyond grateful that I trusted the team and moved forward with the procedure. I was truly in the best hands with Dr. Kamran Babamohammadi.

We took our girl for her first of two surgeries, and the veterinarian dedicated time to thoroughly explain everything during our consultation, showing genuine care for all patients. Dr. Short and her team were wonderful from the start. Our cat, Peaches’ surgery went smoothly and we received photos of Peaches post surgery as well as a phone call to let us know how she was doing. They also called us to see how she was feeling at home.🏡 My family and I would recommend the Animal Surgery Center very highly.
We were referred to this facility by our regular vet as they felt the surgical center could better handle our dogs lipoma removal due to its size and location. We made an appointment for a consultation and met Dr. Infernuso who we came to learn is the owner of the facility. Dr. Infernus was exceptionally kind, caring, understanding, and very patient in explaining to us what was to be done, the risks and concerns and then very open to take time to answer all the questions that we had. During the procedure, the staff kept us updated and truly showed their caring value as they knew we were nervous. Once the operation was complete, Dr Infernuso called us and explained everything that occurred (the procedure was just as expected and explained during the consultation). The staff later called as well to check in and we’re super helpful in handling our Pet Insurance claims. Shout out to Lisa who is fantastic!Having to take your loved one to a surgical center is nerve-racking and scary but the level of service rendered in my opinion is superb and I would 100% recommend them to anyone with these type of needs. I brought my dog in for emergency surgery for her broken leg, they were kind and accommodating and kept me in the loop about everything! They have been happy to address my concerns and answer my questions before and after surgery as she recovers. They also are less expensive than other places which made it easier to get her the care she desperately needed. I can tell the staff here genuinely cares about making a difference in the animals lives.
Working in rescue , the animal surgical center is one of the only vets that truly cares about rescues. Their hearts are in the right place and they did an amazing job with Millie and coco. The text messages and constant communication was absolutely amazing. Job well done
Extremely easy experience with Animal Surgical Center. The staff was very professional and knowlegable. Every question I asked was answered promptly and with courtesy.Dr. Short, the veterinary surgeon, kept us informed of all steps of surgery and even sent a pic of our dog when the surgery was over.Every thing was a success, even the stitches looked good.I hope my dog Jackson never needs another operation, but if he does, I can have confidence bringing him to Animal Surgical Center of Long Island!
