If I could write one star I would. I started a business and opened up a business banking account. Inside of the United Banking business app, you can send a receive invoices. I had a customer paying with an SBA loan, they froze the account and held the money when my customer needed the job done before his business opened. They asked for contracts and invoices signed by the customer I sent them. They asked for a one year federal tax return for my business which I couldn’t provide because it was new. The SBA approved payment to my company. Then they held onto the money, and wouldn’t give it to me requesting that I give my personal tax information to them. This is absurd. I’m currently seeking legal action and I’m going to sue the hell out of them for making me lose the job.

I used Autobooks through my TD bank account for 2 months to send invoices and recieve payments. Then they unexpectally cancelled a customers payment and closed my account with zero warning due to “recent chargebacks within your business banking history and average bank balance that is insufficient to cover potential chargebacks and disputes.” Only one time a customer made a payment from the wrong account and it was promptly resolved (Autobooks collected a fee twice on the same transaction) and that is it. My account had a sizable balance and was growing each month. Worst part was I was given no notice or opportunity to meet any of these “requirements.” They just closed my account and returned payment which does not look good to customers for a new business. They even said to try Square or Paypal in their explaination to me which is exactly what I’ll do. Highly recommend saving the trouble and using anyone besides Autobooks or TD Bank.
Autobooks decided to reject a clients payment with no reason other than "a thorough review by our team" followed by an email that my account will be closed in 7 days because my "business does not meet merchant account guidelines". They provided no method of remedying the situation even after contacting their customer "success" team. It reflects poorly and unprofessional to have to re-request payment using another invoice. Luckily there are other payment processors that will take the fees I pay for this service since Autobooks apparently doesn't want the business.
Your service started off great, but as we expanded our client base utilizing your service, it became the worst service I have ever experienced. You jeopardized our cash flow due to your slow communications and vague policies, which led to a rejected payment without any explanation. Worst of all, it required us to call repeatedly for updates, as your team would promise communication but never followed through.
I sent a cancellation request for my business account. I promptly received email notifying me of receipt of cancellation request and confirmation of cancellation. A month later i was charged again. The customer service rep, (employee) wrote the following:“Those request would need to be taken up with your financial institution. Thanks,(Employee)(Employee name redacted)Customer Support SpecialistOffice: (866)617-3122autobooks.co”Poor customer service and no resolution of issues.
Autobooks was a service offered through TD Bank USA. They were supposed to be an simple way to ACH payments to and from our representatives here in the USa. The first transaction from NC to NYC took nine plus business days to go through. After several phone calls, I finally got them to pay the recipient. At that point, I cancelled the account with them at least three months ago. To my surprise, Autobooks debited my account for a monthly fee in January. This fee cannot be reversed by TD Bank. My only recourse is to put a permanent stop payment on Autobooks at the cost of an addition $30.
I had an outrageously bad experience with your company, which held my client payment for more than a week--requesting intrusive docs like my confidential consulting service contract to release my funds although I've been an account-holder for months. On top of the inconvenience this caused my small business, I was still charged an astronomical $240 on the $24000 payment, which would have happened faster through a traditional wire transfer thanks to Autobooks ridiculous processes. I requested a call-back to indicate when my funds would finally be released after "due diligence" about my legitimacy as an account holder with thousands in deposit and never received response.I signed up with this company because it was made available by NBKC but there was no disclosure about the terrible hassle involved. When I went to NBKC for help, I was simply told that Autobooks was a third party and I'd have to manage directly--on my own. (There were also significant accounting errors made on my account within the first few weeks of opening. While they were caught and corrected a few days later, the bank never contacted me to apologize or explain anything!)Clearly, neither of these companies values me as a small business client. I'm copying NerdWallet because I chose the bank based on its recommendation. I certainly hope that endorsement will be reconsidered.I will be continuing to spread the word, investigating whether further oversight action might be appropriate, and plan to close my accounts ASAP.
