I needed to both upgrade my policy from European to worldwide and renew my policy.
I was charged for the upgrade and then given a quote for the next year. I questioned the price of the renewal and was to!d as I had automatic renewal I had a discount built in. I did say I could go to a new company and get 20 percent discount as a new customer. Again I was to!d I had a discount built in.
To try and reduce the cost as it was near!y 200 pounds more expensive than the other company , we went through the medical screening as it was not up to date.
The agent told me he would ring me back but unfortunately I could not take the call when they rang. I tried to ring back but as I did not have a name I could not get back to that person.
When I looked on line the agent had reduced the cost on the renewal and I decided to just accept it and as it was automatically renewed I thought that was it.
I was surprised to receive an email to say our insurance was about to expire. One of the reasons I did not want to change from Avanti was because we would be on holidays when the policy was due for renewal.
I went on to my account and there was no quote or renewal on my account.
I immediately renewed my policy AND at a lot less than I was quoted as a renewing customer. Not impressed and find it difficult to trust agents to give best advice.

After seeing on social media about teenagers crashing motorcycles and not having insurance, I thought id check my £65 worldwide travel insurance. I dont intend to ride a motorcycle but these regular occurences of tragic accidents prompted me to check the policy. Usually USA and carribean destinations are not covered i was surprised that Thailand was an excluded country. £65 wasted! I havent started my trip yet but as the cooling off period has ended Its a pointless policy . Be careful AVANTI YOU cant go as you're not COVERED! Stay clear. I told them i was travelling to Thailand! The outsourced agent wasnt efficient at all!

Client last year, so decided to arrange my travel insurance again this year. Staff member, Olly, very personable and efficient. More helpful than some other travel insurance companies with whom I have dealt.
Arranged cover for all our medical conditions. Never needed to claim, so no knowledge of that area of the business.
Slight caveat. Advertised discount on fliers and on
- line and TV only for basic part of the policy, rather than the whole policy after increases for medical conditions included. Not stated on any of the advertising content. Could be seen as false advertising.

The representative I interacted with was very supportive and communicated everything clearly. His assistance was outstanding, and we received excellent customer service. The insurance I required was readily available at a fair price. This is my second experience with this service, and I hope to continue using it in the future.

Excellent Support for Payment Issues

I encountered an issue while attempting to make a payment, despite having approval from my bank. I reached out to a very friendly representative over the phone, who listened to my concerns and successfully processed my payment. The issue was resolved! I believe his name was something like Coffee. Regardless, he is a valuable asset to the team.
