I enrolled my son in the camp last Thursday. While the activities looked exciting, his experience wasn’t quite what I had hoped for. He mentioned there was a Motorsport activity that he would have loved to take part in, but only three of other kids were selected to ride the Jeep, and he wasn’t chosen. He also said there was only one Jeep available.During the swimming session, although he enjoys being in the water, he doesn’t yet know how to swim. He ended up staying in a corner because he thought the water was too deep. I was hoping someone would have supported or encouraged him a bit—perhaps helped him get more involved or even offered some basic guidance in the water. He also said the water felt very cold.He did enjoy other parts of the camp and is keen to go again, but I’m also considering trying other SuperCamps to see if they offer a more supportive experience.I also wanted to mention that he came home wearing two pairs of trousers. He’s only five, and while he’s quite independent, I would expect some support from staff when it comes to changing clothes or using the toilet.
The admin team are so helpful, they helped me make and change my booking and gave me all the information I needed before I sent my daughter to camp! She was really nervous before going as this is something she’s never done before, but the camp staff were so accommodating and made sure she was included and enjoying herself. She’s already asking me when she can go back!!
Day 2 of my son attending barracudas at St Catherines School Twickenham he was assaulted again by the same boy. This time hit in the face with a water bottle. The staff did nothing about this as it appears they would rather not get involved even though the children are in their care. Think twice before sending your child
Nothing but great things to say! Great set-up, fun activities, good size groups and wonderful staff. Special thanks to the absolutely fantastic staff at Barracudas Maidenhead who really made my son's summer wonderful, especially Emma, Hannah and Tilly who really went above and beyond - legends!
Our 12 year old daughter had 3 amazing days at Barracudas in Cambridge St Faiths. On her first day she was a little unsure thinking it may be a little young for her, but she immediately made friends with children her own age and begged us to send her again the following 2 days. The manager Lucy was fantastic…she booked our daughter in at the last minute and continued to help and coordinate everyone. Our daughter had an amazing time with loads of activities and met even more new friends over the subsequent days. A huge thank you to Lucy and the team!! Will definitely have our daughter back when we return to Cambridge later in August. THANK YOU! Ten out of ten!!
