For the first time ever I would give a 10.The staff goes beyond their duty of care, they are "warm", caring, empathetic, calm, OMG they are all you would want when you are vulnerable. Came in for surgery and have nothing negative to say. Thank all of you, what a positive impact you had in my life.

I had the worst experience.

I had the worst experience having to pay privately in a public hospital. I had to use Beaumount to have a tumour removed in the neurosurgery department. There was nowhere else they could do my procedure. In general the care I received was well below any public standard let alone private. I hope I never have to go there again. In particular a staff nurse called Roisin in the Richmond ward should not be working with vulnerable patients after surgery.

THIS WILL ANGER & UPSET ANYONE WHO…

THIS WILL ANGER & UPSET ANYONE WHO READS.. my mother had early stage dementia and went to see geriatric doctor Alan Moore in Beaumont, she was a lovely lady worked hard all her life but was in a very abusive marriage, she plucked up the courage to tell Dr Alan Moore that my father was raping and abusing her most nights, he would take her into his bed and rape her and put her back in her own bed and tell me she woke up with no knickers again I didn’t know what she meant Anyway Dr Alan Moore seen fit to ask my father and when he said no it was case closed My father lied said his family are all against him and he doesn’t get on with any of us Dr Moore wrote in his report “Poor Mr ## his children are all against him and don’t understand dementia 😡 He went on to sign a critical illness form for my father a man who at that stage hasn’t seen his wife in 3 years But after the admission of rape he sent her home with him and he mentally tortured her carers where finding her knickers in his bedroom, he went to pub every single day left her alone and one Saturday drunk pulled her out of her bed to rape her he let her fall and broke her wrist & rib, this went on for a year until we as a family me & brother & sister got her into a nursing home and away from him, i contacted Dr Moore told him he should of done more that if i went in said i was raped id never expect him to ask the rapist, he said he done what he was duty bound to do I.E nothing 😡 i went to medical council who are all doctors too so obviously won’t go against one of there own, they said they thought it was managed ok 😡 I said think if it was your mother would it be ok ? This man is an evil abuser.. i took him to court for abuse suffered by all the family Dr Alan Moores name is in my statement, This man raped my sister from a young age got her pregnant and sent alone for abortion he is an evil animal but after the trial he was sent to prison for years for exactly what she told Dr Moore what was happening there is no accountability for any of these doctors from the hospital itself to the HSE to the medical council, if you parent has dementia and sees this doctor don’t trust him

no compassion for special needs

this is an example of how dire and uncaring the hospital is. as a starter, when i was in a &e a year or so ago, i was seated on a chair for 8 hours suffering badly but then decided that i had to get out as nobody was taking any notice. the next day i was in the mater general , diagnosed with severe sepis and operated on the next day.but this complaint is about the treatment of my grandaughter who is a special needs girl of 17.she was sent home from school with sever abdominal pains. a visit to local doctor diagnosed suspected appendicitis and she was taken to beaumont at 1600. apart from taking bloods at some time in the evening, she was told to wait. she sat with her mother on the hard plastic chairs in a &e. she was there from 1600 until nearly 1200 the following day ! was not even provided with a blanket. this is a young girl with sever pain, and a girl who cannot even get through a day without a long sleep. she could not sleep and was not allowed to eat or drink. she did not have a moments sleep. she eventually had an x ray at around 1200 and a ct scan. nothing was found at at around 2300, she was allowed to go home, still in pain.all attempts by her mother to get some attention etc were brushed off brusquely. when she finally got a trolley she was below a bright light....and one of her problems is that she is epileptic . her mother kept warning the doctors that she would have a fit, and indeed, she had TWO, one of them quite severe.overall, the treatment was nothing short of scandalous and it is a sorry sight of our health system.i doubt anybody will see this and this abuse of a special needs patient will still continue.
