Now I ask you, “Would you expect this link that says, ‘free’ in it to unexpectedly charge my elderly parents after a ‘trial period?’” It says free right in the link. Then when I go to undo this mess, there is no discernible way to remove the ticking time bomb free trial. It’s not like I don’t have to go back to my place to do my stuff. Why not have to schedule a return to this mess rather than keep it together at home?

To top it all off, it worked just fine for the other elderly parent. Thanks a lot Bitdefender it’s not like don’t have myself to take care of too. Perhaps I’ll switch to Aura and not Bitdefender. The design of your software to herd people into buying a subscription is despicable. The free subscription scam is getting old the world over. Knock it off.

Still figuring things out with the service

At this moment, I find it hard to provide a proper rating as I'm new to this service after experiencing issues with my bank account. It seems I can't email the support team to ask questions, and the app on my phone indicates that the service is draining my battery, although it claims on the website that it won't affect my device. I’m curious if the security scans can detect other devices connected to my phone or Wi-Fi modem, as I've encountered issues in the past. Currently, I only have my mobile phone while the bank sorts out the situation. I usually do my research before purchasing, so I need clarity on a few points. It appears that my internet connection has been restored after changing my password, but I've had multiple security issues, including compromised bank cards. I don't have a computer anymore after a hacking incident, and my previous provider and bank have been unhelpful. Right now, I'm just looking for reliable antivirus software that can provide information about other devices. I wish I could communicate with the support team via email, as it would be much easier than the virtual options. I hope to receive the answers I need so that I can leave a more positive review later.

Frustrations with the Security Software

After purchasing the security software, I've encountered significant issues with web protection, app anomalies, and scam alerts turning off unexpectedly on my new mobile device. From August 13, 2025, to January 18, 2026, the problems remain unresolved. It's hard to believe this is the case for such a reputable company, and I cannot recommend this product.

Complete disappointment with the service.

This has been a complete disappointment. I signed up for a subscription but was charged for two instead. The automated support system denied my refund request, and I couldn't find any way to reach a real person. I've been assigned a 'ticket' reference number, but after three attempts, they continue to ignore my inquiries.

Exceptional Protection for Your Devices

This service offers outstanding protection for your devices. As a long-time customer, I initially purchased the basic antivirus but later upgraded to the premium security subscription, which is excellent. I feel secure and have complete trust in the software. It runs smoothly on my older iPhone and other devices, and the VPN is also very effective and secure. There have been no issues with subscriptions; when I canceled the basic antivirus, it was done without any hassle. Additionally, the support team is user-friendly, readily available when I check, and responsive, which is crucial for me. I highly recommend this service.

Long-time user frustrated by sudden subscription cancellation

After many years of using a certain antivirus solution, I decided to switch when the price for a family plan increased significantly. I explored various alternatives based on cost and protection levels, testing their system impact through trial versions. One option that caught my attention was a more affordable antivirus, especially with promotional pricing, and it consistently received high ratings for strong protection in independent assessments. However, I found that this antivirus had a noticeably greater impact on system performance compared to others I had tried. While I managed this by using lighter protection settings, it was still a drawback. Given that many experts say a built-in antivirus is now comparable to paid options, I opted for a combination of the built-in solution with a lighter profile from the new antivirus. Unfortunately, my one-year subscription was abruptly cancelled after less than four months, without any notice or explanation. I reached out to support, providing proof of purchase including their confirmation email. Yet, my request to reactivate the subscription was denied, and they only offered a discount on a new one. I have never encountered a paid subscription being cancelled in this manner, and the handling of this situation was unacceptable. There’s no incentive for me to pay again after such a short service period, nor do I trust that a new subscription wouldn’t face the same arbitrary cancellation. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this antivirus.
