Please don't use this company.
They will repeatedly fail to communicate with you, and only communication they finally make is for more money, and they still won't finish a job and leave you with a machine in worse condition than before they started.
And will tell you to get it fixed by someone else.
Apparently the blame is third party involvement. The 'third party' mentioned is a door attachment spare part supplied by bosch the dishwasher manufacturer.
I booked a tumble dryer repair which was outsourced to a third party. The engineer turned up on 28th November and told me I needed some parts and then he would come back to complete the job. No news since... Multiple emails and phone calls to both Glotech and the engineer and no reply.
I see I'm not the only one to have this experience (see Google reviews).
We have used Glotech Repairs regularly in our capacity as managing agents, and they have consistently provided an excellent service. They are extremely reliable, responsive, and professional in all dealings. Appointments are arranged promptly, communication is clear, and works are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. We would have no hesitation in recommending them.
I would strongly advise avoiding Glotech - I booked a repair for our washing machine several weeks ago and received email confirmation - the engineer was scheduled to arrive between 8-5 - I duly arranged an annual leave day to ensure I would be in the house. We have 3 young children and also look after my frail mother (at home too) so a washing machine is an essential home appliance.
At 3pm the engineer had not arrived - I contacted Glotech and was assured that the engineer would still be coming today - at 4.50 pm the engineer was a no show. I contacted glitch again and informed that there was an error in the booking and the engineer would not be attending today. When I explained our circumstances and asked to re-book the individual on the phone was rude and unhelpful and said they would not be able to re-book.
I have used a valuable annual leave day, stayed at home and still have not had the washing machine repaired - the company advertise as a family business with good customer service - my experience is very, very different from what they advertise.
Great service, provided all the information we needed to access our situation. It is hard to find someone trustworthy. William, our engineer was great. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for anyone in the Woking area.
I booked an engineer to repair my dryer through Glotech. The contractor they sent, damaged my dryer, said they would return to repair the damaged cover and install a new humidity sensor. The engineer charged me but has ghosted me, neither repairing the dryer or replacing what he damaged. When I sought recourse through Glotech they completely absolved themselves from any accountability over the engineers lack of work and follow up. Glotech admit they are having issues with the engineer but refuse to take any responsibility for the engineer they provided through a booking I made with them. BEWARE - Glotech do not vet their subcontractors or take any accountability for their work or fraudulent behaviour (charging VAT when they are not VAT registered, or committing to repairs, taking money and then not repairing an appliance).
They booked a local engineer to fix my leaking dishwasher. They came and pulled out the machine to discover a hole in the drain hose. The engineer then said he had to go away and order a replacement hose and hasn't been back since – that was over a week ago ... giving various excuses as to why he was unable to return. So, in all, the engineer was at our property for all of 10 minute, got charged ~£110 call out fee, and the machine was still not fixed. Called Glotech for support and they said there was nothing they could do, as they just make the bookings....! Really poor. Don't see the point in using them if they take no responsibility for the quality of service provided by the local engineers appoint.
Glotech can refute all they like but when I called for support, they just told me to contact the local engineer myself, who has since disappeared. No offer to investigate further, help track them down, or do anything to recognise that the engineer they booked has failed to fix a relatively straighforward issue. So what service are they providing other than a booking agent for poorly vetted engineers? Useless.
Do not use this company they take your money and do not carry out the repair in my experience in South East London.
I requested an engineer at the end of November, he visited ( I knew what the issue was, a failed grill element in a Neff oven). He took the serial number worked out which element was needed and said it would need to be ordered. I was away the following week, contacted him on my return. A series of calls and excuses for not being able to return to complete the repair ensued. Christmas intervened but since the new year he persuaded me not to request a refund as he would definitely return. He has not returned and I now can’t get hold of him. He does not answer his phone, read or reply to either texts or WhatsApp. messages. I am £140 out of pocket and still do not have a repaired oven. I called Glotech who were no help whatsoever and said it was not their problem I would have to deal with the engineer (Sheehan) directly.
Beware, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! We reached out to the company for a repair on our oven. I was aware that the issue was a faulty fan motor since the previous one had stopped working. We informed the company of the required part and provided the oven's make and model. After scheduling an appointment, I expected the technician to arrive with the necessary part. Instead, a technician arrived with just a tool bag, lacking the part! When I inquired, he stated he needed to inspect it first. I had already removed the oven door and back plate to expedite the process. I demonstrated the issue to him, reiterating what I had previously communicated to the service. He claimed the part would need to be ordered and would take five days, quoting a price for the motor that was more than double the cost of parts easily available from other suppliers who offer next-day delivery! I expressed our urgency due to the upcoming holiday. He apologized and then began to issue an invoice for his LABOR?! I contested this, as it exceeded £100 for work he hadn't actually performed! I refused to pay, and he departed. Before leaving, he suggested that if I sourced the part from a different supplier, he would return to install it privately, as long as I didn't inform the company! I opted not to do this and instead ordered the part myself, successfully repairing the oven the following day. Now, I've received a threatening letter from the company demanding payment of £139.14, with threats to escalate the matter to a debt collection agency!!! AVOID THIS SERVICE; THEY ARE FRAUDS!!! Additionally, they are quite rude when you call to voice complaints!
The technician arrived on schedule, demonstrating efficiency and expertise. He identified the issue with my 20-year-old dishwasher, but unfortunately, the necessary repair parts were no longer in stock. He dedicated about 20 minutes to the visit.
