I trip was booked by mistake, and the organization is inflexible about making adjustments or refunds. It is important to note that the entity who is actually hosting the event was completely fine with making the adjustment, it is BookYogaRetreats who is not. Where most organizations are hyper-focused on customer experience, BookYogaRetreats is hyper focused on the profitability of one-time transactions above all else. Do yourself a favor: bypass this third party service and go directly to the provider. There is no need to deal with BookYogaRetreats.In response to what I expect to hear from the vendor: Just because a policy is "stated" does not mean that the policy is right or just. If you hope to enjoy repeat business, a little empathy and customer focus goes a long way.
Be very careful using this dodgy company. I had a terrible experience using them to attend a yoga retreat at Shivoham Yoga in Goa. It was not a yoga retreat atall and they treated me very badly when I was on my own and vulnerable. When I came home I told BookYogaRetreats about my distressing experience and they said they would launch an internal investigation. They then came back to me to say they wouldn’t refund my deposit and they won’t publish my review either. They are still selling retreats at Shivoham and there are no negative reviews for them even though I met people in Goa who also left the retreat because it was so bad. They clearly don’t verify or check the yoga retreats that they are selling and it’s completely irresponsible. I will never use them again.
This has being the worst travel experience ever. The customer service is pathetic. I used this platform to book a yoga retreat in las palmas Gran Canaria which was a total and utter shambles it was horrendous so bad that I had to leave and find other accommodation. I’m emailing weeks for the deposit to be returned or to find out did the scam yoga retreat receive it and I’m getting nowhere . I would not wish this experience on anyone . You could be stranded in a different country as I was . The organizer was not on the island and has not being heard from since . I lost €350 deposit and the flights and other accommodation had to be paid for . Do not trust this platform for a relaxing holiday you’ll be stung
