She was very honest about what was realistically possible, and the results she achieved went far beyond what I thought could be done without surgery.

This practice clearly doesn't care about its patients. I was passed from one person to another without any serious follow-up. No one bothers to actually follow up on the case, which made me feel terrible! They left glue on my teeth and decided my orthodontic treatment was over, even though I wasn't completely satisfied. Came to find out, I was costing them too much time and effort instead of making them money.They refused to continue the treatment and offered to install retainers to close it quickly. My bite is still bad btw. A huge disappointment! I'm afraid only people that went to mediocre or basic dentists, would be happy with these "specialists".

From the moment I inquired about the duration and cost of wearing aligners, I was promptly assisted—an efficient and reasonably priced treatment indeed. What's more, they offered me the chance to start the process almost immediately.The clinic is run by Maria and her husband, both of whom are exceptionally kind, chatty, and friendly. Their impressive credentials in the field are evident in the quality of care provided.The staff is also very friendly, efficient, and multicultural, creating a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. The clinic itself is stunning, equipped with high-tech tools and filled with thoughtful details that truly make a difference.Having visited several dental clinics, I can confidently say this has been my best experience by far. I've already recommended Smiles By Maria to friends for dental cleanings and, especially, for Invisalign treatments, which I have firsthand experience with.Thank you for this wonderful experience!
Early this year I went for a checkup visit and was told that my tooth had a stain.X-rays were taken and the dentist decided to open the tooth.I had no pain on this tooth until then and I am not sure that there was anything wrong with it – however, after the first appointment the tooth was just sealed with an interim plaster filling and an Inlay was ordered for the following appointment - but from that day I was in a lot of pain. When I came back and told the dentist about ongoing pain and sensitivity at the tooth I was told that there was nothing wrong – I was given a cream to apply on the tooth to remedy the sensitivity- it helped a bit …I have been charged nearly € 2000 for the 2 treatments and inlay.The tooth stayed sensitive though and so I went to seek advice with a different dentist.I was then told that most likely the treatment had come too close to the nerve and I had to keep putting that cream on. The tooth shouldn’t have been sealed with an inlay when it was risky that it might flare back up.The other dentist warned me that if the sensitivity wouldn’t stop I might be loosing the tooth.Sadly despite my efforts of thoroughly cleaning and applying sensitive toothpaste and cream the pain kept kicking in and last week I suddenly had such horrible pain that I had to go back to the other dentist. She took me on an urgent appointment today.My fear is confirmed. The nerve has been damaged and the tooth has died.I need to go for yet another treatment to get the tooth devitalised. I have lost my healthy tooth.So basically I’ve been charged almost €2000 for killing my tooth.I will never - never - never go back to Smiles by Maria. I am disgusted!
I start with the positive: Smiles by Maria is a modern practice with very friendly and international staff and there is a relaxed and informal atmosphere. (The one star is for the friendliness). For almost two years I felt I was in good hands.After 22 months Maria's staff ended my orthodontist Invisalign treatment. When I noticed that I couldn't bite on one side, I made an appointment with the orthodontist of my children and his verdict was scathing: very poor result, like I had done the Invisalign treatment by myself without an orthodontist! He advised me that it would take up to 1 year to achieve a good result. I then called Smiles by Maria and asked for an appointment with Maria. Three week later I was seen by Maria and she advised me that I needed IPR (interproximal reduction) also called tooth tripping to gain space and presented me a 4-months treatment plan. What Maria did not tell me is that her staff tried for almost 2 years to move the 2 upper molars back to gain space and close the bite but failed to do so and that tooth stripping is the below standard treatment option. Malocclusion class II is one of the most common problems in orthodontists and her staff did not manage to correct it in 2 years. After the initial appointment with Maria, she hands over to her young staff and does not supervise the treatment. The only time Maria ever took a look at my teeth during the treatment, was from one meter distance away and she announced that my midline was perfect and asked her staff to take off the elastics. Clearly Maria could not see from the distance that my bite was anything but perfect (and I needed elastics)! I lost all trust in Maria and I'm now paying a second time to be treated by a new orthodontist practice. I will have to wear Invisalign for one further year - 3 years in total (instead of one year as I was initially told by Maria)!
