My order (BM-37124) was stolen from the Canada Post office on Feb 2nd, 2024. I called Bullion Mart (on Feb 17th and Feb 24th, 2024) to inquire about the manner in which I will be refunded. Their employee (Vinod) said that I will not be refunded a single penny although Bullion Mart website says that all orders above $500 are insured. He said the lost parcel was a Canada Post problem, not Bullion Mart's problem. The police told me that in the past 2 weeks, 4 Bullion Mart customers, like myself, have reported thefts like mine. BM's claim about insurance is false. I received an email from Bullion Mart on Feb 24th: "Your order is complete". BM employee (Imran Akhter) asked me on January 26th to submit an "Enhanced Due Diligence Form", plus my utility bill and identity card. Which I stupidly submitted. And within 5 days of submitting the above, some criminal showed up at local Canada Post and picked up my parcel. Other bullion dealers do not ask me for all this information. Bullion Mart tricked me, by not dispatching my order for multiple days after I made the payment, until I submitted the above paper work. When I reported the theft to Bullion Mart, they were reluctant to even file a report with Canada Post but did after I insisted. They are running a scam by not insuring packages and leaving clients open to theft. Extremely disappointing and misleading.
