What a scam of a company. Not even a single useful detail about the car I searched while it assured to have given the mandatory info. When the time came to charge 27.99 they charged and obviously I asked for a refund and the customer support immediately cancelled my account when I didn't tell them to. After they cancelled it I again asked for the details about my refund in which they replied " The account that corresponds with the information provided does not currently have an active subscription and was previously canceled. You may have requested to cancel it previously, or your subscription may have been stopped". SCAM!
Continued to charge my account after I signed up for one month trial. Checked my bank statement and had basically wasted $100. Stuff like this is so scammy. They just ant you to sign up and forget about it so they can charge you for ever. Never using them again.
Got billed for a service I never signed up for. Pretty upset out this. I used their service once for to look up a car for free it maybe a couple dollars. Weeks later I get charged $28 with no explanation about this. I asked for a refund and they told me they would cancel but haven't refunded me yet. Super scammy. The original info I got about the car was useless as well. Save your money and use car fax.Edit: after emailing several times with them, they did agree to refund my payment. Apparently I had signed up for trial initially.
Almost fell for it, in the fine print of one of the check boxes it stipulates that if you do not cancel within 7 days you get dinged for $20+/month. And I'm sure the canceling process is ridiculously hard..been down this road before with credit check companies. no thanks.These type of practices should be illegal period.
Bumper.com has NO customer support but they pretend to when you look at their website. When you go through their phone prompts to reach a person it suddenly dead-ends. They pretend they can't help you with a refund for wrongly being charged a membership fee of $27.99. Their reason is that you cancelled your membership. How does that stop them from refunding your money. They have all your information. Bumper's canned response is: I WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE AN ACCOUNT WITH THE INFORMATION PROVIDED. They have all your information connected to the account number you get when you use their service. They force you to go through your bank to file a bogus charge report. Stay away from this company!!!!
