Item didn’t show up. Called customer service, who had no record of my order, abd couldn’t even find the item by SKU on the website. Said I should have received a tracking number, which may have gone to my junk email. I didn’t. They couldn’t give me a tracking number. Kept referring to ‘the team’ as a separate group, said, ‘this is just a call centre, we don’t have access to that information.’ Still waiting to hear back via email.Don’t waste your time.
I purchased a treadmill through Buy Kiwi (seller: TheShopSite) and it arrived faulty. I reported the issue but received no response from the seller. Then I suddenly got a message from a shipping company saying they would pick it up – but no one has confirmed if I’ll be refunded or given a replacement, or even if the pickup is legitimate. I expected Buy Kiwi to step in and support customers in situations like this, but the lack of communication has been extremely disappointing. I would not recommend using Buy Kiwi or TheShopSite based on my experience.
Shocking customer service, really do not recommend you purchase of this website. They are not compliant with the CGA and are a pain to get a refund from although they sent a faulty product. Seriously, take your money elsewhere or expect lots of hassle trying to get your money back from them.
I wish I had seen these reviews before buying off Buy Kiwi. I had a similar bad experience like many here. They were reluctant to refund, putting the onus on the seller company (Kiwi Grab), who reluctantly agreed to refund me. Buy Kiwi said it was up to the seller to refund me, but the seller only refunded me their sales proceeds and not the commission that Buy Kiwi charged them. I then asked Buy Kiwi to refund their commission of $99 but they refused. They have not replied to my further email requests. I will not buy off them again and do not recommend them at all as to refuse to refund a commission which they did not earn, is both unprofessional and unethical! They have lost me (and Karen and others), through not refunding when refunds are due. What morons.
They sent my item to a Wellington address same street number and street name. I live in invercargill. They claim I put a Wellington post code on. Why would I do that ??!!The confirmation email stated my address in invercargill and same with I billing address but with a Wellington post code. Item sent to Wellington and I don't receive it. I contacted them and they said it was their fault will send another. Waited few days nothing happened. Called them again but they said they were investigating. Fewdays went past no reply from them. Called again and they said would get back to me. Got email said I put the wrong post code and I had to pay another lot of courier fee to get the item. Sick of dealing with them I reluctantly paid the fee. Waiting for another week no notification from them regarding when they might dispatch the item. Called them again. Got email next day said out of stock 2 weeks wait time!!It's a joke to deal with this lot. Bought this 31/05 it's been 22 days
The item went all over the country on a road trip with some shipping company I had never heard of. AramexWhen we did get the item, the actual contents of other details were on the outside of the package. No packing material. It had a strong flavour of Temu all over it.Then, finding it at half of the price I paid with FREE freight, from elsewere.Another company taking advantage of the "KIWI" brand. Unacceptable.
I must mention one adverse comment about Buy Kiwi in an otherwise good experience. Having ordered a product from Buy Kiwi they handed off the supply of the item to Shop Site, which was an awful experience, please refer to my review there. However when I finally had had enough of trying to deal with Shop Site and went back to Buy Kiwi for a resolution they acted quickly, great communication and a full refund, including courier charges was in my account within a few days. I would say buy from them, but only if they guarantee to leave Shop Site out of the process.
