They don't deserve any stars. I've been broke down since 7pm and it's now 12:30am with no tow in site. Automated text keep saying they'll keep me updated as soon as they here from dispatch. The thing about it, this has happened several times with this service. Definitely will not be renewing!
Always wait at least an hour today it's 2 because they sent a tow service not in the area I was stranded .. very unreliable and when I called to get the 2nd tow request she said it won't be long because I already waited over an hour but no 2nd tow will arrive in hour and 10 min so over 2hrs on side of the expressway for gold membership towing wow just awful
Absolutely awful customer service and what a rip off. I hope to find an alternative. We have been members for over 10 years in 3 states and have barely used it until recently. CT is the absolute worse with different regions and regions changing based on time. The tow truck was needed after a botched spare tire installation that was supposed to be resolved with AAA. We were completely stranded with 2 adults, 4 young kids, and an elderly grandma. One adult waited over 6 hours in an empty parking lot and had to go home after 12 am in an ice storm and Lyft going over ice banks that would not have happened if AAA was responsive. Hours were on the phone with multiple transfers and no tow truck until the next morning. Lyft was over $300 and repairs due to the botched spare tire was also hundreds. AAA customer service has denied requests for reimbursement and have been completely indifferent to our business.
The level of utter incompetence that I experienced from everyone in this company, from front line staff to those who identified themselves as managers, is unimaginable! As I waited for OVER 8 hours, shivering in the cold, for countless failed commitments to never come to fruition, I was entertained by 2 employees battling to “make my day better”, one establishing service delivery tickets, while the other cancelled them each time one was established. Ashley & James were the forced entertainment I experienced, while not eating all day, not having any water, going without my medication, and unable to use the restroom, awaiting a tow from the unsafe environment where I had been stranded, again, for OVER eight hours! I was never offered a supervisor and was at one point informed that the call I received was a “favor”. Ultimately, I received a call after the 100 other non-substantive and inaccurate “updates”, letting me know that help was NOT on the way and that I could reserve an appointment for a tow on the following day. I then picked up the phone, calling numbers independently from google searches, and a tow truck came to my rescue in 20 minutes! NEVER AGAIN, Triple A**holes! I’m cancelling my contract/subscription TONIGHT! I suggest everyone save themselves the TRAUMA and MISERY and do the same!
Absolutely deplorable customer service. I've had to use five times and each one was worse than the next. I'm a platinum member and it really doesn't mean a thing. They give you impossible maps to find a pin on and leave you waiting endlessly for help. One outsourcerer even provided a falsehood. The same provider failed to report the falsehood to the company. Googling AAA States they provide winch service in wintry conditions in the snow. It also includes the other organizations which do so. AAA lied to me on the phone stating they did not do this.
I waited over an hour and half for a battery and was assured by AAA the technician would have one only to have Donovan C from Marc’s auto show up without and rudely tell me due to weather it was a safety issue and got back in his vehicle and left. I immediately called AAA explained the situation and asked if this would count as a service call. I was told I would have to call tomorrow to find out. I was also told to call back in the morning and try again. I have been a member with AAA since 2000. I will NOT be renewing my membership and I will NOT EVER recommend them to anyone. Shame on AAA. I am so DISAPPOINTED.
My grandma has been a member since the 70s and is hard of hearing, so I was on the phone to assist her with getting her car towed. We were transferred five times! One representative even claimed she wasn't a member, despite us having the card. The final representative was extremely rude, refusing to speak with me and only addressing my grandma, who couldn't hear him! He even shouted at me to shut up! We will be canceling our membership.
The service fails when you truly need it, leaving you waiting overnight. It's unacceptable, especially without a manager available to provide updates. The information conveyed by the representatives doesn't align with what you receive on the call, which is incredibly frustrating. Paying a high monthly fee should guarantee reliability, but it's lacking when it's most needed.
I called at 7:30 AM in -9 degree weather, and they promised to arrive in 12 minutes. Five hours later, I had to call back only to find out that the request was never submitted! This led to an additional two-hour wait. The customer service was incompetent and appalling! It's frustrating and unsafe. I will never use their service again; every time I call, I end up waiting at least five hours!
As a AAA Plus member, I'm extremely dissatisfied after trying to arrange a tow for two days. I was told only one tow per day after already taking off work. After waiting in the cold for nearly three hours, I was told they couldn't tow my car from private property. This is unacceptable, and I hope for a resolution soon.
