Paid for a report on a 2008 BMW E93, only had history up until 2013 (km stand until 2018) while the car is registered with the Dutch RDW up until today. The free RDW report gave more insight (excluding logged repairs done up until 2016).
I filed a complaint and asked for a refund and was only offered an additional "free report" which is useless to me, because I only own one car.
Don’t bother, much better and more comprehensive services out there.
This service just scrapes the basics
When I got my car, I got a very detailed HPI check from the selling dealer. I did my own using carvertical expecting it to be much more thorough but it wasn’t and fell far short
Paid for two searches, but no credits shown on account. No response from support email, after three requests and 5 days. No contact number given. Based outside UK, so no point in going legal.
I've run 3 car vertical reports on cars in Australia. A 2011 Skoda Octavia- no data beyond a milage check of 16km at delivery, nothing else.
A 1984 924 imported some years ago from the UK. No records beyond a single for sale listing
A 1994 968 UK car, no records at all.
Now I realise they can only report what they find, I just don't think they look very hard. It's enough to avoid the auto refund for no results and they have reinstated reports after talking to customer service, it's more the issue that nothing is ever found
I purchace some additional credits, and its was not clear communicated its will expire. I come back to check another vehicle, and i donthave anymore credits. What is the point of charging so much ad taking the credits from users when prices didnt change so much.
The platform is user-friendly and offers detailed information overall, but I was unable to utilize the report because of a mistaken rolled back mileage claim. There was no explanation for this, as the official data for the vehicle did not indicate any such rollback.
I verified everything twice! I have a BMW 1250 Adventure from Austria and a Mitsubishi Pajero that I purchased in Germany five months ago. The check provided by the service failed to reveal any information regarding the mileage. I'm extremely dissatisfied; this company feels like a scam. They claim that if clients aren't satisfied due to missing mileage information, they will issue a refund, yet nothing has been returned. Save your time and money—it's a fraud! In response to the comment from the service:
You accused me of not providing basic vehicle details and mileage, suggesting I submitted an incorrect VIN, but that's not the case! I understand that issues can arise, but your policy states that a refund is due if no information is found. I'm frustrated that I haven't received my money back, which is unprofessional. Issuing a refund would be the fair thing to do, as I no longer wish to use your services. Otherwise, this feels like classic scam behavior. Respectfully.
I used the car service once and it became clear that the monthly subscription details were not communicated well. When I reached out to customer support, the representative claimed there was nothing he could do. I had to insist on speaking to a manager, but after putting me on hold, he returned saying he had consulted a manager. However, when I requested to speak to a manager myself, he hung up and wouldn't take my calls afterward.
The report was misleading and prevented me from buying a car. The vehicle was clear on the official car check site, and the mileage was verified as accurate. The car had one owner and a full history, yet this report showed a mileage discrepancy that didn't exist. Be cautious when checking reports; it's best to use a reliable source.
